New York Mouth seeks an immediate placement of a part time employee or intern to assist with technology development, coding and administration related to design and operations for our online store dedicated to promoting small batch, artisanal foods made in and around NYC.

We need someone who knows html, html5, css, json, javascript and, ideally, shopify (our retail interface).

We need someone to work for three full days per week because our tech needs have short cycles and almost no detailed specifications.

Primary responsibility will involve coding the site to mesh with all other aspects of administration, such as design, process orders, handle billing and customer search.

The right person would work well in small-sizin', fun-lovin', hard-workin' start-up office in DUMBO area of Brooklyn, collaborating closely with the three principles of the business, one of whom --our CEO-- has deep experience in the tech space, having founded the early net company, Razorfish.

NY Mouth exists to help small food companies thrive.  Ideally, you are a person energized by the food movement yet willing to get involved in handling the nitty-gritty details required for excellent tech execution that will nurture happy and loyal customers. Excellent opportunity for a student, college grad or someone seeking part-time opportunity with a flexible schedule. Quirky work experiences do not deter us.

Tasks described above are general types of work for the position but please be prepared for the reality that everyone does every sort of work in a small start up company.  We expect an initial commitment of at least 24
hours per week. More working hours may be required as sales volume increases over the next six months or so. Pay will be commensurate with experience. We look forward to hearing from you!

Please contact [address removed] with a resume and coverletter describing the following: (i) your relevant experience; (ii) your availability (iii) any pay requirements (iv) when you could start work and (v) when you are generally free for an interview.  Thanks
