What we’re about
Meet and mingle with local Japanese language and culture lovers! This is a social group whose members are interested in the culture of Japan. We meet regularly for language learning and practice, and also just to socialize and have fun by having dinners, parties, good food and drink. We speak both Japanese and English at events.

【忘年会】Dinner, Drinks, and Games!
調和橋 (Chōwabashi), 399 Crossbrook Dr., Berea, OH, USA 忘年会 (bonenkai) is the traditional year-end party where friends and coworkers gather to eat drink, and forget the woes of the past year.
If you've never been to a Cleveland Japanese Meetup, this event is a great one to attend! We had several first-timers come to our year-end/beginning events from previous years, and it's a lot of fun!
This event will be a bit more pot luck than izikaya, so feel free to bring some food and beverages. I'll make some Japanese curry, perhaps some takoyaki, and I'll bring some snacks from Japan.
We'll also have some Japanese board/card games that are pretty language-independent, and I'm sure a switch or two.
And while we certainly won't do Japan-level drinking (due to the lack of trains, and skill), if you do want to indulge but not drive, there's always Uber/Lyft - which is really that expensive, if you split.
The location is 調和橋 (Chōwabashi) in Berea.
## RSVP & Waitlist
An RSVP is required to attend the event. If you'd like to bring a guest, make sure to indicate that on the RSVP.
If the event is full, please join the waitlist. There's a good chance that someone will cancel. Or if they're a first-timer (i.e. high probability of being a no-show), we will double-check their reservation and cancel if they don't respond back.24 attendees
