Hello, Annyong, ,

I hope everyone's weekend was better than mine, as I was (and am) sick.  (Apayo! !)

First - getting too many messages from this group's mailing list?  You can turn them off & remain a member.  Manage your information using this link: meetup.com/account/comm/  (must be logged in).  Select "Organizers only" to stop all of the group's replies.  You'll still get special emails from the organizer(s), such as this email.

Second - Many members are interested in the events with the Korean exchange students.  Next month there are 10 exchange students coming to the area, which I've learned are 9 from Korea University, and 1 from Busan University.  They will be staying with host families around the area.  Over the weekend, Casey wrote for us some great thoughts on unique events to have with the students.  He also wrote about 3 types of visitors: tourists, travelers, and explorers, and how we can help the students be more than tourists.  (And not once did he mention noraebang, his favorite, which we'll also work into activities with the students).  I recommend taking a look at his ideas - read here (click)-Thanks Casey!

Third - Many thanks to all of the people who wrote offering me some help with Korean language to reach out to some potential new members (my email on Friday).  I've been following up individually with everyone who wrote.  It is related to the ESL events, such as the event on Friday night.

Fourth - This Saturday, we have 2 events: the visit to the Korea Daily offices, followed by a dinner at Hee Been (and some of the reporters will be joining us for conversation).

Join us... check up on the events you want to attend here: Fun Korean Meetup Group homepage.

You can reply to this email if you want to reach me directly, because I've temporarily paused the list emails so that people can manage their subscriptions.  You can also reach me online at the Contact The Organizer link.
