Hi Nature Lovers,

I'm new to the group and look forward to meeting you all soon!

Considering your interests in nature, you might want to check out, "Local Solar 101: How to Harness the Sun in the DC Metro Area," a workshop on this Wednesday at 6:30pm. It is hosted by CarbonfreeDC, which I organize.

If you'd like to participate or see a full description, please click here:

Workshop Description

Every hour the sun beams onto Earth more than enough energy to satisfy global energy needs for an entire year. At the CarbonfreeDC Solar 101 work shop, you'll learn how we can harness the sun using this carbon-free energy source.

Solar energy pioneer Neville Williams will keynote the work shop.

This work shop covers the benefits of solar power and how you can successfully implement it in the DC Metro area. We will also discuss the different types of solar technologies, the potential for utilizing office building rooftops as a commercial source of solar power and the local policies and tax incentives you should be aware of. Plenty of time will be available for your questions!

Attendees will receive a step-by-step resource guide to implementing this renewable energy, including local vendors and tax incentives.

For speaker biographies and more information, please visit

While we would appreciate if all attendees RSVP for the work shop, it is not required in order to attend.
