Do you like the idea of 19th century performances in a house? Are you someone that after an entire week of hard work, you want to sit back and relax, enjoying listening to live music or playing music? Do you love piano? Then this group is for you.
This is also your opportunity to meet other people to discuss the piano and other music, and techniques. We play on a brand new Boston designed by Steinway 7'1" grand piano. All genres including classical, jazz, acoustic, rock, hip-hop are accepted. You don't need to be a instrumentalist or have any prior knowledge to become a part of this group! We have people that come just to listen as well. We can play anything for each other whether it's complete or not and give constructive criticism if the person wants that or we can just sit back and enjoy everyones playing. Just simply come if you want, everyone is welcome.
Enjoy the music or enjoy playing music! Music collaborations between members are always encouraged as well. Use the message board or send a shout out to other members to see if they are interested in collaborating with you. Let's try to get some chamber music going as well.
Hey everyone, in case I haven't told you already, I just wanted to let you know that I have a piano recital coming up in a couple of days, on Thursday November 12th. My program will consist of Beethoven Chopin, Brahms, Liszt, Ravel, Scriabin, and Rachmaninoff. It will take place at the meetup location which is St. Peter's United Church of Christ, but in the main area, not the choir room. I hope some of you can make it! Read more
This group doesn't have any additional upcoming Meetups scheduled.
