Holiday MeetUp
Hello, Piano Friends, With 27 people in attendance and several brave and talented newcomers, our End of Summer MeetUp was a certifiable success. As such, I am sending out a notice about our final MeetUp of the year: Saturday, November 17, 2018. You will notice that our time frame is a bit shorter; this was the only date available by the end of the year. As such, you better get to practicing. In light of the volume of attendees we have had for the past several gatherings, I may implement a more strict time/piece limit so that no-one gets shortchanged. This will include asking all RSVPs for their piece(s). You can RSVP initially and tell me your piece(s) later. Of course, this is a great problem to have and a testament to the awesome group that we have assembled. For those of you who are new to the group, our criteria is simple: 1) you must love piano, 2) you must be ready to play (or eager to listen) and 3) you must contribute a meager $10 towards this space and yummy refreshments. This is the Saturday before Thanksgiving, so I expect a full house. Be sure to RSVP quickly! Audra & Jonathan

    What we're about

Do you like the idea of 19th century performances in a house? Are you someone that after an entire week of hard work, you want to sit back and relax, enjoying listening to live music or playing music? Do you love piano? Then this group is for you. This is also your opportunity to meet other people to discuss the piano and other music, and techniques. We play in different settings, always an intimate location. All genres of music are accepted. You don't need to be a instrumentalist or have any prior knowledge to become a part of this group! We have people that come just to listen as well. We can play anything for each other whether it's complete or not and give constructive criticism if the person wants that or we can just sit back and enjoy everyones playing. Just simply come if you want, everyone is welcome. Enjoy the music or enjoy playing music! Music collaborations between members are always encouraged as well. Use the message board or send a shout out to other members to see if they are interested in collaborating with you. Let's try to get some chamber music going as well.
