What we’re about
The FUNK of FORTY THOUSAND YEARS! Thrill The World is the annual worldwide simultaneous dance to Michael Jackson's "Thriller." December, 2024 marked the 41st anniversary of his Thriller video. The original Thriller choreography was created by Michael Peters, but members of the Seattle Thrillers, along with all dancers in Thrill The World, perform a modified version.
This event is a global community project that inspires others to break down barriers by connecting people of all religions, races, gender identities, and economic backgrounds through dance. Seattle Thrillers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, https://seattlethrillers.org. Online donations are accepted on that website, are secure, and are greatly appreciated! Contributions will help to offset the cost of events. The Seattle Thrillers nonprofit organization also supports local charities.
Each year in October the Seattle Thrillers join Thriller groups in other nations to perform at the same time. Partnering with Queen Anne Community Center, the next Thrill The World performance will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 3:00 pm inside the Queen Anne Community Center, 1901 1st Ave W in Seattle.
The local group also performs for various organizations in and around Seattle throughout the year. If you live in the greater Seattle area and would like to learn the dance in a class setting, rehearsals will resume September 13, 2025 at Queen Anne Community Center. Rehearsal and event information will be posted on this meetup website, also known as seattlethrillers.com. It is free to learn the dance and there is no charge to the public on the day of the event.
Sponsors: Queen Anne Community Center, My World Dance & Fitness, Healthitude Fitness & Nutritional Coaching, Napolitano Skin & Body Studio.
T-Shirts: Seattle Thrillers T-shirts will be available at the event for $20 per shirt.
