Want to connect with others who are involved with filmmaking & theatre? Join us and 5 other meetup groups, including DC filmmakers (https://www.meetup.com/filmmakers/) and actors for a spring event. Timed to allow people to connect before this year's DC 48 hour film contest (in May 2012).
Agenda:
12:30 - arrivals, meet-n-greet, headshots for actors 1pm - start: introduction, Q&A, short film(s) 1:30pm - Producer pitches - describe your projects (pre-register at www.DCcasting.com (http://dccasting.com/) ) 2:30pm - DC Casting - monologues. Free for actors (pre-register at www.DCcasting.com (http://dccasting.com/) ) 3:30pm - networking 4:30pm - close (empty room by 5pm) * (option for group dinner discussion afterwords) If you're any of the following people, you should attend this meeting:
Anyone who has a project in mind or already started and wants to recruit people - video/new media, online webisodes, and similar. Anyone who would like to get recruited onto a project: actors screenwriters editors assistants sound or other techs MUA (makeup artists) other creative types: graphics, animators, musicians, songwriters, etc. Anyone who has a specific film or video question you would like to get an answer for. Light food & refreshments will be provided.
No cost to attend.
Parking is available in the library lot for free (above ground and below ground), and paid street parking.
Metro: nearest station is Ballston.
