Physical Computing Monthly Meetup

Physical computing deals with how people use hardware and software to sense and respond to the analog world. If you're interested in robotics, interactive art, new ways of interacting with computers, arduinos, kinects, and more - this is an opportunity to learn more about how people are using some of these things and meet some of the people in the community who are working on them.

Thanks to everyone coming out last night. Glad that I was able to remember some of the foundations of electronics (sort of). That said, it's great that we now have something to physically work on. I encourage you all to try and build something with your kits before the next meetup. We will start with showing off our creations. For those that did not order an Arduino but still want to pick one up. You can order it from this Vancouver company:

I'd also like to encourage any of you who might be interested in attending our StoryCamp event on June 21/22nd. It might seem an odd match but the idea of the event is to come up with and prototype new platforms to tell stories, which could include a physical computing.

Nothing original to say here. Great meetup, made me excited for the weekend when I can start really digging into this Arduino thing.

Thanks to Galen and Startup for hosting such a great event. Great kickoff to working with my Arduino board. I learned a lot and am looking forward to the next one.

I like how the Arduino kit web page says for ages 10 and up! Does this mean we are qualified contestants for Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader? :)
