This event happens every Saturday. We might go for Sörmlandsleden 1, 3 or 5 later on and have a BBQ in the woods.

We start at Norrviken station and then walk in the Järvafältet nature reserve for about 20 km, towards Säby Gård. If the weather is nice and we get there before they close at 16, we can have a fika there.

Säby Gård will be the end of the hike, and from there each person will have to decide if they want to go home by pendeltåg from Jakobsbergs station (1,7 km), Akalla subway station (4,2 km), or continue walking on Järvafältet. I'm going to do option 2 or 3, depending on the weather.

Spring has not yet fully arrived, so it might be both cold and wet. Part of the hike is in the forest. Dress appropriately and bring some snacks. We'll make at least one stop before Säby Gård.

Grab your binoculars and join us for a day of birdwatching and nature exploration at Angarnssjöängen! We'll hike 10 kilometers through scenic landscapes, greet peaceful cows, and visit a birdwatch tower. Whether you're a seasoned birdwatcher or just love nature, come unwind, appreciate the beauty, and maybe make some new feathered friends!

Watch for stunning birds like Whooper swans, Geese, and Cranes. Listen for Black-headed gulls and Lapwing. And who knows? We might even encounter some rare bird species.

Can I come if I'm not on the list?
We appreciate your interest, but our events are kept small intentionally. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional guests who aren't on the list. Thank you for understanding.

Getting there
Meet at the parking lot near Örsta bus stop. Catch bus 676 from Tekniska högskolan at 9:35. Transfer at Brottby trafikplats to bus 665 heading towards Vallentuna and get off at Örsta.
If coming by car, be aware that this time of year the parking at Örsta can get full quite early in the day. It might be worth considering leaving the car in Brottby and taking the bus with the rest of the group.

Getting back
Buses depart from Örsta hourly, connecting to buses heading to Stockholm.
