Triangle Off-Road Cyclists (TORC) is a nonprofit dedicated to advocating for trails and building and improving trails across the Triangle.
TORC is the Triangle area chapter of the larger regional Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association (SORBA). When join TORC you're automatically joining SORBA and you're supporting both the Triangle but also trails across the Southeast.
Thank you for joining TORC's Meetup Group where you can see our events, but by becoming a TORC Member you join a higher tier of trail supporters with exclusive access to a range of membership benefits.

We schedule trail workdays throughout the year to build new trail or maintain existing trails. These workdays offer volunteers the opportunity to invest into our trail designs and for land owners to benefit from our sustainable approach.

Trail Tuesday casual style at Williamson Preserve
Bailey and Sarah Williamson Preserve, 4409 Mial Plantation Rd, Raleigh, NC, USPLEASE CHECK TORC-NC.ORG FOR TRAIL STATUS.*
If the trail is closed the ride is canceled.This is a casual (MOUNTAIN BIKE) no drop ride at Williamson for riders of all skill levels. This is not a strava KOM fest type ride.
We will split into 2 or 3 groups if there are enough riders.... a faster casual, a casual group, and a Cindy casual.
All groups will be no drop and will stop to regroup to ensure no one is left behind.We will meet between 5:30-5:45pm and hit the trail at 6:00pm.
Traffic sucks on the way to Williamson so give yourself more time to get there then you think you will need.
Please sign the 2026 TORC waiver. This only needs to be signed 1 time each year and is good for all TORC events.

We will meet at the white barn on the opposite side of the church from the main trail head parking lot. Parking here is by special permission for the ride. (Parking here without special permission from TLC is not allowed and considered trespassing so please only park here with TLC's permission.)

TORC Taco Tuesday Harris Lake Group Ride
Harris Lake County Park, 2112 County Park Dr,, New Hill, NC, USHarris Lake every Tuesday after work, depending on trail conditions. Check www.torc-nc.org for current trail status. Ride time will start 2 hours before sunset.
Just looking to have fun on the bikes so all skill levels are welcome. We typically average ~10mph but stop at all intersections to let everyone regroup. No drop ride.
Meet time: 5:30
Ride time: 5:45
Distance: 7-8 miles
Location: Harris Lake County Park
What to bring:
Bike in good working order
Helmet
Hydration
We will meet in the Hogs Run parking lot. I drive a Nissan Xterra typical wear a yellow jersey
After the ride we will got to La Taberna Mexican Bar & Grill in Apex off of 55 for Tacos and Beers!

Beaver Dam Workday
Creedmoor Dirt Lot, 14811 Creedmoor Rd, Wake Forest, NC, USThe trail system at Beaver Dam is one of the older trails in the Triangle. This trail suffers constant erosion due to the hilly terrain and multiple streams in the area. The trail needs regular maintenance to help maintain drainage so it can reopen quickly after rain events.
Directions: Meet at the dirt parking lot just off Creedmoor Rd, 0.5 mile before Beaver Dam park entrance.
- Meet time: 8:45-11:00, we will distribute tools and talk about specific work to be done. We will stop earlier than 11am if it is hot.
- Duration of the workday: No more than 3 hours
- Type of Work: Moving dirt and rocks, shaping features, clearing vines and brush, de-berming, knicks and grade reversals
- Tools: Tools will be provided.
- What to bring: sturdy shoes or boots, gloves, appropriate clothing, and water

Carolina North Forest Gravel + Gab
Back Alley Bikes, 100 Boyd St, Carrboro, NC, USA ride for the gravel curious to the gravel enthusiast. This is an beginner-level, no-drop (no one is left behind) ride from Back Alley Bikes to the gravel roads of Carolina North Forest. Experienced riders are welcome, but we prioritize good vibes and riding comfortably as a group over speed and intensity.
- All riders must sign the 2026 TORC ride waiver before riding. You only need fill it out once per year.
- Distance: 15 miles (route)
- Pace: 10-12 mph and conversational
- Duration: About 2.5 hours
- Meet at 8:45am @ Back Alley Bikes, Wheels rolling at 9am
- Hot days are dangerous! Please come hydrated, bring plenty of water, and tell a ride leader if you feel dizzy, lightheaded, clammy, fatigued, cramps, or nausea.
- Helmets are required
- Other attire: Attire is good, yes, and whatever floats your boat. Some of us ride in boots, some clip in. Dress for the weather/conditions.
- Water bottle/pack, mini-tool, spare tube/tubeless supplies, and pump/CO2 are highly recommended
- No headphones or other distractions
- Optional coffee and pastries after the ride at Even Dough Bakery (subject to change day-of)
