Wanted to find a decent video to follow up Matt's instructions and example. This video seemed to echo yesterday's clinic very well. I think mastering bunny hops and being ready to lift that front wheel whenever needed is a great all around skill. Like the guy said in the video, you don't need a specific bike, even a xc bike will work versus a bmx bike.;_ylt=A2KLqIBx7pBRtFkANtP7w8QF;_ylu=X3oDMTBrc3VyamVwBHNlYwNzcgRzbGsDdmlkBHZ0aWQD?p=bike+manual+to+bunny+hop+video&vid=2398844377d18aafe81b213a5a11aec5&l=3%3A56&

Thanks again Matt great clinic. I definitely have some practice to work on. Get a hold of me for anything else you would like to try. I'm positive I could hook up some private skills sessions while out on the trails. New Light has a lot of fun opportunities.. San Lee...

Are we still meeting at the Boat ramp parking lot? Old Reedy Creek (ORC) may be another spot we can meet.

If we get rain before Sunday and LCCP closes, we should be able to do some practice drills somewhere in Umstead not too far from the ORC entrance.

Hey everyone, we are running into a conflict with Mother's Day for this event. When Matt and I were discussing our schedules, we didn't realize it would be Mother's Day. We have two choices. We can move the event to Saturday the 11th or to two Sunday's away on the 26th in keeping with a Natty Greene follow up ride? Please post up your reply.

The 19th...there's already a great ride scheduled on the 11th with too much crossover. I'll be there either way...unless it's windy.

Either the 11th or the 19th works for me. Show some love to your wives and mothers! ; )

A much needed resource for safety and skills. Also would like to see picking your line and riding really narrow passages or skinnies discussed.

Matt, I'd be interested in going over bunny hops at the height of where you can lift your front wheel (you talked about it during the beginner skills clinic). I've got portable corrugated 14" diameter pipe that I can bring. Anything to do with hopping the bike, whether from from flat to flat, over obstacles, over rough terrain from one line to a better line. Manuals, I think it would be cool to be able to practice how to lift your front tire through rollers, dips. Hopping the back tire, or entire bike, side to side for a straighter lines through technical terrain. Downhill sections where you want to jump clear of sections that will take away momentum.
