Triangle Off Road Cyclists (TORC)

Harris Lake every Tuesday after work, depending on trail conditions. Check www.torc-nc.org for current trail status. Ride time will start 2 hours before sunset.
Just looking to have fun on the bikes so all skill levels are welcome. We typically average ~10mph but stop at all intersections to let everyone regroup. No drop ride.

We will meet in the Hogs Run parking lot. I drive a Nissan Xterra typical wear a yellow jersey
After the ride we will got to La Taberna Mexican Bar & Grill in Apex off of 55 for Tacos and Beers!

This is a TORC and Greenway Gear Collective partnership ride that travels to the trails at Lake Raleigh Woods!
The Greenway Gear Collective, which operates out of the shipping container on Lake Raleigh, will lead rides for all skill levels with an emphasis on entry level mountain biking and skill building. Each loop at Lake Raleigh Woods is about a mile long so there will be opportunities to collect riders and do multiple laps or potentially to leave after any loop, depending on the ability level and time available to individual riders on each ride.
NOTE: WE DO NOT RIDE THE HIKING ONLY TRAILS!

Dawn rides begin at 7 AM and Dusk rides begin at 7 PM.
Parking is available at Centennial Campus Middle School (in the corner of the lot as far from the building as possible).
Rides start from adjacent trailhead kiosk.
Helmets are required.
Please sign the 2026 season ride waiver (you only need to do this once per year).

• Title: Carolina North Forest Gravel + Gab (evening edition)
• Intended audience: The gravel curious to the gravel enthusiast. This is an beginner-level, no-drop (no one is left behind) ride from Back Alley Bikes over to the gravel roads of Carolina North Forest. Riders with gravel experience are welcome, but we will prioritize good vibes and comfortable group riding over speed and intensity.
• Distance: 15 miles (route)
• Pace: 10-12 mph and conversational
• Duration: About 2.5 hours
• Meet @5:30pm @ Back Alley Bikes, Wheels rolling @ 5:45pm
• Helmets are required
• Hot days are dangerous! Please come hydrated, bring plenty of water, and tell a leader if you feel dizzy, lightheaded, clammy, fatigued, cramps, or nausea.
• Please fill out the 2026 TORC ride waiver. You only need fill it out 1 time per year.
• Other attire: Attire is good, yes, and whatever floats your boat. Some of us ride in boots, some clip in. Dress for the weather/conditions.
• Water bottle/pack, mini-tool, spare tube/tubeless supplies, and pump/CO2 highly recommended.
• No headphones or other distractions
• Post-ride drinks at Steel String Brewery Carrboro (subject to change day-of)
• Bring lights for riding home!
