FYI- Another meetup group is hosting a Saturday morning walk. Below are the details:

We will meet to exercise on Sat May 23 at 10am at Lake Calhoun this weekend. The details are below - let me know if you can make it so we can wait/look out for you.

Saturday May 23, 2009

Where - Tin Fish Restaurant (on Lake Calhoun) 3000 E Calhoun Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN[masked] http://www.thetinfish.... @ 10:00am

Please try to be on time. We will begin our exercise at 10:05am going clockwise, so if you come late you can start counter clockwise if you want, in order to meet up with us. Please dress comfortably for the weather. If it's raining - we will likely cancel and I will post an email/message about that.

We will do some form of exercise around the lake (please let me know with your RSVP what kind of exercise you will be doing) and then meet back at the Tin Fish around 11:00/11:15am. From there we will head to the Mpls Farmer's Market getting there between 11:30-11:45am or a tad sooner.

After you RSVP and on Friday, I will send out a reminder message with my cell # in it for you.

I will likely walk this time again.

Lake Calhoun is a flat lake and it's the largest of the 3 lakes in Lake of the Isles area. There is free parking on the street. It's about 3 miles around. It usually takes us a good 45 minutes to 1 hour to circulate it once.

After the exercise, we can caravan/meet at the farmer's market (free parking) and we can meet in front (facing Lyndale Ave) of the only cinnamon roll/brat/corn stand. *If you don't want to exercise, you can meet us at the market - just let me know so we can meet up with you* Please bring CASH with you to the market. They have awesome deals on fruits/vegies/cheese/fish/meat/crafts, etc. Most places only take cash (some take credit cards, but to be safe, bring cash. I usually bring around $20-$30).

Lake Calhoun: (from St. Paul) There are two ways you can go. One is to take 94 West to the Hennepin Ave/Lyndale Ave exit. When you exit, you want to stay in the left lane and take Hennepin Ave south. Stay on Hennepin all the way to Lagoon (down by Juut) and take a right (it's a one way). Lagoon will merge with Lake Street and will take you right between Lake Calhoun (on your left) and Lake of the Isles (on your right). Stay to the left and find parking. The pavillion is on Lake Street - you should be able to see it.

If you take 94W to 35W south, you would take the 35th/36th street exit and go right onto W. 35th Street. Go straight and when you get to S. Emerson Ave go left. Take a right onto W. 36th Street. Take a right onto Richfield Road. This turns into E. Lake Calhoun Parkway. Park somewhere on that street closer to the Tin Fish Restaurant on the lake (and also on Lake Street). You will be on the east side of the lake. Meet us by the pavillion/restaurant that is a tanish color on the left of Calhoun Pkwy - it's called the Tin Fish Restaurant 3000 E Calhoun Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN[masked] http://www.thetinfish.... @ 10:00am

Mpls Farmer's Market info: http://www.mplsfarmer.... Farmers Market ? 312 East Lyndale Ave North ? Minneapolis, Minnesota 55405
