Seaside cultural long weekend, 1 day, 2days or 3days. Strolls, concerts and art

Come for as long as you like. Jump on a train or drive to Folkestone and enjoy your time by the sea....

Saturday 7th June
11.00 meetup
Arrive Folkestone and meet in front of the Grand up on the Leas for a cultural walk around the town and if the weather is good, up into the white cliffs

If you fancy, there is a Black Tie Opera Gala 5 course dinner in the Grand Saturday evening at 18.30 - 22.00

Come for the day or make a weekend out of it...

Sunday 8th June:
10.15 Meet outside the famous Grand hotel up on the Leas.

We'll walk about 4 miles in a big circle, through Folkestone looking out to sea, then along the coast to Sandgate.

After lots of sea air, enjoy fish and chips on the beach....or anything else!! There are lots of cafes and pubs in Sandgate overlooking the sea.

15.00 Amazing Afternoon of English songs and music by international opera singers Per Bach Nissen and Josephine Halsall accompanied by Alise Kirtley.

Varied afternoon with music from Britten to Elgar and Vaughn-Williams...and Andrew Lloyd-Webber

16.00. Sandwiches, cakes, biscuits and non stop tea and coffee

Champagne and wine for those who fancy a little extra!

17.30 Concert ends

We can either jump on a bus or stroll up the quick path to Folkestone... about 1/2 a mile

We enjoy an informal setting and limit the places to 40 so that Per can serenade us as he walks among the tables!

Stay another night and we would go for another walk in a different direction or jump on a bus and start the walk further down the coast...
