Agile SoCal brings together local experts in Orange County and Los Angeles to share what works and what we've learned while applying Agile & Lean methodologies to software development - whether it's Scrum, XP (Extreme Programming), Kanban or some mix of those and more.
Free monthly meetings are held in Irvine, usually on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, and all are welcome!
Join us at our February meeting where we'll learn about enabling teams, both new and not-so-new, to improve our delivery through accountability and levels of planning. Accountability is layered into the adaptive frameworks and approaches we often use, and tuned with an eye on the checkered flag (or the next charging station!), teams can become engaged. In this session Steve Dempsen will share with us his experience with his teams from when he was a new ScrumMaster through present day. He'll also share practices new and seasoned ScrumMasters, Product Owners, team members, project managers, and coaches can take away.
Steve Dempsen is a Senior Project Analyst in the enterprise project management organization at The Capital Group where he helps deliver outcomes across end to end programs. Steve is a ScrumAlliance Certified Scrum Practitioner, Product Owner, and ScrumMaster, and a PMI Agile Practitioner and Project Management Professional. He has worked with software teams for 20-something years and is excited to actually present again at Agile SoCal instead of just opening the front door.
