Requiring permissions to investigate haunted sites

Someone just brought the following article to my attention:

http://roadtrippers.kinja.com/moronic-ghost-hunters-burn-historic-louisiana-plantatio-1470363847

It is a story that basically gives anyone who wants to investigate haunted sites a bad name. Apparently a group of people broke into the 160-year-old LeBeau Plantation house in Louisiana, but instead of investigating it, they partied. Between the booze and marijuana, the house burned down.

FWIW, BAGH does its best to discourage anyone from investigating sites without permission. I ignore suggestions for meetups that include trespassing. The loss of this historic mansion in Louisiana is the worst case scenario that can happen. In others, perpetrators have been arrested. Personally, I would like more details about these lawbreakers.

In the past, I have received complaints from people who are upset that most of the investigations we provide require payments. The caretakers of these historic sites know they have something of interest to us and use this money to restore and maintain them. BAGH is a non-profit group. The money we collect is passed onto the venues to acquire the permissions we need to access them and other expenses that arise to cover the cost of the meetup. We do not personally profit from these fees.

For those interested in private investigations, I know Anthony, Lydia and Laura have been selecting people they have met through BAGH meetups. So, if we get to know you as a reliable, responsible person, you could be invited with them as well.
