What we’re about
Welcome to Bay Area Hiking, Walking, Wellness Club!
Where Healthy Living Meets Lifelong Friendships and Love!
Our club is all about embracing a healthy lifestyle, nurturing a positive mindset, and reveling in the beauty of nature. If you're someone who enjoys Green Exercise outdoor workouts, and can hike/walk 5-8 miles without health issues (do consult your personal physician), we invite you to join us.
Here's what makes us special:
*Transformative Events: Our club events bring people together, fostering new friendships and even sparking love stories. The benefits are profound, including better health, reduced stress, and the end of isolation.
*Safety First: Your well-being is our top priority. We strictly follow CDC guidelines and protocols. If you're feeling unwell, we kindly ask you to wait until you're better to join us.
For everyone's safety and convenience, we encourage carpooling among those who know each other well.
*Stunning Locations: We're fortunate living in the bay area to have shaded forests, mountain trails, and beach walks with amazing ocean sunsets nearby. Your suggestions for new areas to explore are always welcome.
*Convenient Scheduling: Enjoy our thoughtfully scheduled events, mostly in the late morning, afternoon, and evenings, to fit your personal schedule. Allowing you to get your beauty sleep, and even your morning 'errands' are merely a stylish sprint to fetch that perfect breakfast or cup of coffee.
*Inclusivity: Whether you're reuniting with old friends or looking to meet new people while exercising outdoors, you'll find a warm and welcoming community here.
**How does nature nurture the brain? **After a 60-minute walk in nature, activity in brain regions involved in stress processing decreases...
Mental health prescription: Nature
Being in nature can boost your mood and improve mental health. Spending quality time in the great outdoors reduces stress, calms anxiety, and can lead to a lower risk of depression, according to a study done by researchers at Stanford University. In addition to having mental health benefits, being outdoors opens up your senses to your surroundings and improves your sensory perception. Taking in the sights, smells, and feelings of nature has so many health benefits it can even be prescribed by a doctor.
Our Club events have a very positive impact on people's lives, people meet, fall in love💘 meet new friends, HAPPY, better health, less stress, anxiety, depression, isolate being alone and got extra bonus for LOVE 💞
*Note: We appreciate your support to keep our club thriving. Your donation/contribution helps cover our costs and enhance our meetups.
A small event fee helps cover organizing costs, including planning, permits, and many other expenses that go into making these events happen. A lot of time and effort goes into researching trails, securing permits, and managing unexpected challenges. Your support helps keep these adventures going—thank you for being part of the journey!
*When you attend our group events, implied consent is assumed for photography. If you prefer not to be photographed, please feel free to let people know.
Join us and be part of a community that not only promotes wellness but also nurtures lifelong friendships and, in some cases, love stories. We look forward to meeting you and making lasting memories together!
🌿 A Friendly Reminder from Your Host 🌿

✨ New Year🚗 Road Trip + 🌊Waterfall Hike 🥾Sugarloaf Ridge State Park🏞️
Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, 2605 Adobe Canyon Road, Kenwood, CA, USHello Nature Lovers and Weekend Explorers!
Let’s enjoy a fun, relaxing Saturday with a beautiful road trip, a new city for lunch, and a refreshing waterfall hike. This is a wonderful way to start the new year with adventure, good company, and gorgeous scenery in beautiful Sonoma County.
We’ll begin the day with a peaceful drive to American Canyon, widely known as the “Gateway to Napa Valley.”
✨ Fun Facts About American Canyon:
It welcomes visitors into the world-famous Napa Valley region.
It is one of California’s newer cities, incorporated on January 1, 1992.
Before incorporation, the area was known as Napa Junction.
We’ll enjoy a nice lunch here to fuel up before our afternoon adventure. 🍽️
🚗 1. 9:00am start Morning Road Trip to American Canyon + Lunch
A "Gateway" City: American Canyon is widely known by its official nickname, the "Gateway to the Napa Valley," as it serves as the San Francisco Bay Area's entry point to the renowned wine region.
A New City: The city is one of California's newer incorporated cities, officially establishing its city status on January 1, 1992, after years of community efforts.
Formerly "Napa Junction": Before its incorporation and name change, the area was previously known as Napa Junction.
Environmental Leader: American Canyon prides itself on its environmental sustainability initiatives. It was the first city in Napa County to ban new gas stations and required solar panels on new home construction before it was mandated by state law.
Zero Water Footprint Policy: The city adopted a "Zero Water Footprint" policy, meaning all new developments must implement water-saving practices to balance their additional potable water
🌿 2. 1:30pm 🌊Waterfall Hike 🥾Sugarloaf Ridge State Park
Sugarloaf Ridge State Park contains the headwaters of Sonoma Creek. It runs through gorge and canyon, across the meadow floor, beneath scenic rock outcroppings, and is surrounded at times by redwoods and ferns.
A 25-foot waterfall flows after the winter rains. There is a self-guided nature trail along Sonoma Creek that starts near the picnic area. Dogs must be on a leash under your control at all times. Dogs are not allowed on trails. Dogs must be in a tent, camper or enclosed vehicle during the night.
Within the oak woodland and chaparral, the park has 25 miles of trails for hiking and horseback riding.
Deer, gray foxes, the occasional bobcat and coyote can be seen in the park. In spring, wildflowers provide a colorful palette across the green hills. Note that all plants and wildlife within the park are protected. Collecting or destroying anything in the park, including mushrooms, is prohibited.
On a clear day, visitors can see views of the Sierra Nevada and the Golden Gate bridge from the 2729-foot summit of Bald Mountain.
Canyon and Pony Gate Loop:
This loop trail takes you through peaceful forest and leads to a beautiful waterfall. For the best viewing experience, the waterfall is strongest after heavy rain or in spring. The trail can be muddy, so please bring sturdy footwear.

Hike Time estimate: 2.5-3 hours
Elevation Gain: 652 ft to 1,000ft

✨ New Year FUN Hike! 🥾Jack London State Historic Park 🏞️
Jack London State Historic Park, 2400 London Ranch Road, Glen Ellen, CA, USLet’s start 2026 with LAUGHS, good vibes, and nature magic! ✨
Hello Nature Lovers, History Fans, and Weekend Adventurers!
Are you ready to kick off 2026 with fresh air, beautiful views, and a joyful Sunday escape? Join me on Sunday, January 11 for a fun winter hike at the legendary Jack London State Historic Park—the home of stories, scenery, winery ruins, and a whole lot of New Year energy! 🎉
This park was once the home of writer & adventurer Jack London, so get ready for forests, rolling hills, lakes, old stone buildings, and photo spots that make you say: “Wow… this is how we start a new year!” 😄
Jack London State Historic Park, also known as Jack London Home and Ranch, is a California State Historic Park near Glen Ellen, California, United States, situated on the eastern slope of Sonoma Mountain.
The Park, comprised of 1400 acres, is the legacy of Jack London, one of America's most famous authors. The park offers historic buildings dating to the late 1870's, great scenic beauty and more than 20 miles of trails open to hikers, bikers and horseback riders.
A Brief Biography
Jack London was born on January 12, 1876. By age 30 London was internationally famous for his books Call of the Wild (1903), The Sea Wolf (1904) and other literary and journalistic accomplishments. Though he wrote passionately about the great questions of life and death and the struggle to survive with dignity and integrity, he also sought peace and quiet inspiration. His stories of high adventure were based on his own experiences at sea, in the Yukon Territory, and in the fields and factories of California. His writings appealed to millions worldwide.
Jack and Charmian London’s dream house began to take shape early in 1911 when a well-known San Francisco architect, Albert Farr, created the drawings and sketches for Wolf House. Farr supervised the early stages of construction of a grand house that was to remain standing “for a thousand years”.

🌊 Ocean Hike 5 miles 🥾Wilder Ranch State Park 🏞️
Wilder Ranch Day Use Parking, 1842-1826 Coast Rd, Santa Cruz, CA, USHello Ocean Lover, Let's meet go on a Green exercise wellness hike, enjoy the natural beauty of the Healing Sea, Beautiful Ocean views for our physical health and mental Well-being 😇
Sometimes all you need is an easy stroll by the ocean to refresh your spirits. This track along the Pacific Ocean north of Santa Cruz is one of the best places in California to do just that.
You'll see gulls, geese, pelicans, and other waterfowl and you might hear the distant bark of passing sea lions. If your timing's right, you might even spot passing whales on their annual migrations.
Wilder Ranch State Park is a CA State Park on the Pacific Ocean coast north of Santa Cruz. The park was formerly a dairy ranch, and many of the ranch buildings have been restored for use as a museum.
Another bonus: touring the grounds of a farm replete with antique cars, farm machinery, and other remnants of farming life along the Pacific in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
This track is very basic: just start out from the parking lot at the Wilder Ranch State Park visitors center and follow Old Cove Landing Trail along the ocean. Eventually, it turns northward again and loops back to where you started.
The trail surface is a natural surface (dirt, sand, rocks). It is typically at least 8 feet wide. There are railroad crossings ...
The whole trail is estimated to be in the mostly gentle (5% or less) grade category. All-terrain tires or motorized equipment may be needed for the surface type and grade.
Meet: 1:30pm at the parking lot trailhead near the restrooms
