About us
Welcome to Bay Area Hiking, Walking, Wellness Club!
Where Healthy Living Meets Lifelong Friendships and Love!
Our club is all about embracing a healthy lifestyle, nurturing a positive mindset, and reveling in the beauty of nature. If you're someone who enjoys Green Exercise outdoor workouts, and can hike/walk 5-8 miles without health issues (do consult your personal physician), we invite you to join us.
Here's what makes us special:
*Transformative Events: Our club events bring people together, fostering new friendships and even sparking love stories. The benefits are profound, including better health, reduced stress, and the end of isolation.
*Safety First: Your well-being is our top priority. We strictly follow CDC guidelines and protocols. If you're feeling unwell, we kindly ask you to wait until you're better to join us.
For everyone's safety and convenience, we encourage carpooling among those who know each other well.
*Stunning Locations: We're fortunate living in the bay area to have shaded forests, mountain trails, and beach walks with amazing ocean sunsets nearby. Your suggestions for new areas to explore are always welcome.
*Convenient Scheduling: Enjoy our thoughtfully scheduled events, mostly in the late morning, afternoon, and evenings, to fit your personal schedule. Allowing you to get your beauty sleep, and even your morning 'errands' are merely a stylish sprint to fetch that perfect breakfast or cup of coffee.
*Inclusivity: Whether you're reuniting with old friends or looking to meet new people while exercising outdoors, you'll find a warm and welcoming community here.
**How does nature nurture the brain? **After a 60-minute walk in nature, activity in brain regions involved in stress processing decreases...
Mental health prescription: Nature
Being in nature can boost your mood and improve mental health. Spending quality time in the great outdoors reduces stress, calms anxiety, and can lead to a lower risk of depression, according to a study done by researchers at Stanford University. In addition to having mental health benefits, being outdoors opens up your senses to your surroundings and improves your sensory perception. Taking in the sights, smells, and feelings of nature has so many health benefits it can even be prescribed by a doctor.
Our Club events have a very positive impact on people's lives, people meet, fall in love💘 meet new friends, HAPPY, better health, less stress, anxiety, depression, isolate being alone and got extra bonus for LOVE 💞
*Note: We appreciate your support to keep our club thriving. Your donation/contribution helps cover our costs and enhance our meetups.

💚Explore🎸Rock Star💫Estate🌊Coastal Gem🥾 New✨Don Horsley Park🏞️ Tunitas🏖️
Don Horsley Park, 20775 Cabrillo Hwy S, Half Moon Bay, CA, USHello Ocean Lovers💕
Ready to trade the treadmill for ocean breezes? 🌊 Let’s gather for a 💚“green exercise” wellness Hike at New Don Horsley County Park at Tunitas Creek Beach Opens August 17, 2026Don Horsley County Park at Tunitas Creek Beach, located right off Highway 1 between Half Moon Bay and Pescadero, officially opened in mid-August 2026. Before Peninsula Open Space Trust and the county transformed this 58-acre gem into a public sanctuary, the property was owned by "Wicked Game" rocker Chris Isaak https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jd-qI62gNJM
Modern Era & Private Ownership
Artist Retreat & Chris Isaak: In later decades, the beach served as a remote hideaway for an artists' colony. Musician Chris Isaak owned a clifftop property overlooking the beach starting in 1998Join us as we check out San Mateo County’s brand-new coastal park! Once a private estate owned by musician Chris Isaak, this stunning 58-acre stretch of coastline has been transformed into a pristine public park featuring 100-foot sandstone cliffs, winding creek habitats, and ocean views.
What We’ll Do:
*Bluff-Top Views: We’ll start at the upper parking area and follow the accessible path past scenic overlooks down to the mid-bluff amphitheater.
*Fossil & Beach Exploration: We'll head down to the shoreline to stretch our legs along nearly a mile of sandy beach. Keep an eye out for ancient marine fossils embedded in the Purisima Formation sandstone walls and unique mineral concretions near the south end!
*Wildlife & Nature: The area is a newly protected habitat for native steelhead trout and the threatened Western Snowy Plover.Important Event Details:
*Parking & Logistics: Mid-bluff parking holds roughly 80 vehicles, so carpooling is strongly encouraged.
*Amenities: Restrooms and drinking fountains are available at the mid-bluff area.
*What to Bring: Layers for coastal wind/fog, sturdy shoes for sand/uneven paths, water, and camera/binoculars.
*Safety & Leave No Trace: Note that there are no lifeguards on duty, and access paths involve uneven terrain. Let's keep this newly restored habitat clean and protect the local wildlife!💚Support Our Group! Thanks for joining our wellness club event, it does take time and money to make it happen.
