From: Jeff
Sent on: Monday, June 28, 2010 10:00 AM
Announcing a new Meetup for Bay Area Cycling!

What: Saturday Morning Ride

When: Saturday, July 3,[masked]:00 AM

Where:
92 and Canada Road
92 and Canada Road
San Mateo, CA 94002

RIDE UPDATE:
Since there is no ride host listed in the ride details, I am going to take some initiate to clarify this ride. Let's meet at the Highway 92 & Canada Road intersection at 8:00 AM. I have a gold hardtail mountain bike with a bronze helmet. We'll take the ride from there. I also ride to 92 along Crystal Springs reservoir trail from the San Bruno trail head at San Bruno Avenue & Skyline. I start at that point around 7:00AM and anybody interested in extending the ride can join me at that point. I leave right away and will not be waiting there, so be there early. It takes about 55-60 minutes to get to the 92 intersection at a leisurely rate

Hi,
Small change on the ride. Let's join Gebhard on his no drop ride this Sat. He leaves sharply at 8 am from 92 and Canada. This is no drop and a beginner 33 miles. Gebhard used to own a cycling shop in San Mateo and has led this no drop ride for years. The route:
Canada, Woodside, Mountain Home, Alpine light hill, back to Sandhill, back to Mountain home and Canada.
Those that want to stop and climb OLH/Kings can, those that want to go back can...we'll make it a game time decision. See you at 8am 92 and Canada - we'll join a bigger group so no need to RSVP as I'm leaving when the group does...

For beginner/intermediate riders trying to get stronger:
Meet at Crystal Springs Road and Alameda De Las Pulgas, by St Barts Church.
Ride up Crystal Springs, Sky Line, Canada, Woodside, Climb Kings or OLH, descend, optional additional mileage, and then back. This is for beginner to intermediate riders who ride 12-16 mph, can easily do 40 miles round trip, and want to work on climbing and descents.

I do this ride every Saturday and Sunday, and would like to find other riders to join me. We'll do this as a no drop ride with people regrouping along the way. Other routes would be fun too....I will be at the Church by 8:15 this Sat, please respond if you'd like to come with me.
