New Meetup: Mt. Bike Ride - Tamarancho - Fairfax

Announcing a new Meetup for Bay Area Cycling (Mountain & Road)!

What: Mt. Bike Ride - Tamarancho - Fairfax

When: December 6,[masked]:00 AM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: ~10 miles ride, Start out with a nice warm up climb up a paved road, followed by nice sigletrack climb through some narrow switch-backs and some rock gardens. Levels out for some rolling singletrack. From here on, it is climb a little, enjoy some nice down hill. There are only 2 areas that I would call 'really technical' (THE switchback, and the boulder) but the rest of the trail will keep you on your toes, while still allowing your helmet to whistle in the wind. Since this is private property, you will either have to buy a day pass ($5) or a season pass

* Tamarancho is on privately owned Boy Scout Camp land. The trails at Tamarancho were built by volunteers from the Bicycle Trails Council of Marin ( This was an Herculean effort that spanned 6 years, and took ~11,000 volunteer hours. Tamarancho is still maintained by BTCM ? and that costs money. Given the political situation in Marin with MTB trail access on public land, we should all support this effort for legal singletrack riding. Plus, the riding is worth $5?

It?s actually worth a lot more than that.

It?s 100% legal singletrack.
