"Friday, November 4 – Captain Fantastic
Directed by Matt Ross, 2016 [R]
Deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, isolated from society, a devoted father (Viggo Mortensen) dedicates his life to transforming his six young children into extraordinary adults. But when a tragedy strikes the family, they are forced to leave this self-created paradise and begin a journey into the outside world that challenges his idea of what it means to be a parent and brings into question everything he’s taught them. Viggo Mortensen shines in a fearless and emotionally raw performance, and writer/director Matt Ross (who plays Gavin Belson in “Silicon Valley” and who lives in Berkeley) delivers a heartfelt lesson about humanity in this fiercely-original and visually-stunning film."

More info about the brainstorming:
I recently joined this group, and would love to brainstorm with you all how we might be able to make use of this group to further our FI/RE goals on a daily level in addition to the monthly meetings. At first thought, swap meets or a "Buy Nothing" type group popped into my head, along with lots of other ideas ranging from rotating babysitting duty to a "lunch club" where we share our slow cooker meals of the week with others, so we don't eat the same thing 5 days in a row :). You get the idea --- nothing too big or small to dream up when you think of a local MMM community. Bring your ideas/thinking cap, too, to discuss how small groups of us could work together for mutual benefit (or just for fun!). Hopefully by the end, we'll be inspired to take action on one of the better ideas. Looking forward to meeting you! Cora
