About us
If you don't believe in supernatural entities or powers, if you are concerned about religious intolerance or religiously motivated violence, if you rely on human reasoning and science to guide your decisions and behavior, if you have a naturalistic view of the world, or you just don't believe in God or gods, you are not alone. The Boulder Atheists group provides presentations, meetings, and serves as a social community for atheists, agnostics, rationalists, secular humanists, Brights, and free thinkers in and around Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette, Broomfield, and surrounding communities in Northern Colorado.
Boulder Atheists wish to promote the understanding and acceptance of atheism with public education, good deeds, public activities and affiliations with other local and national secular groups. We strive to be inclusive to ALL and promote gender equality, LGBTQ equality and racial justice.
BA is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) Nonprofit Corporation and relies on membership dues to support the infrastructure required for these events. Please consider becoming a paid member to BA after attending 3 events. Paid annual membership starts at only $35. You can join at boulderatheists.org.

Picnic Lunch at Viele Lake
Harlow Platts Community Park, 1360 Gillaspie Dr, Boulder, CO, USLet's enjoy the nice weather with a picnic at Harlow Platts Park / Viele Lake. Meet us at the covered shelter. Bring a lunch and a chair/blanket in case the shelter is full.
NOTE: IF THE WEATHER IS UNSUITABLE FOR A PICNIC WE WILL MOVE THE EVENT TO A RESTAURANT. Please check this event for location before coming.

Adopt a Road - Trash Pickup
Dark Horse, 2922 Baseline Rd, Boulder, CO, USThe Boulder Atheists adopted a section of Baseline Road at US 36. You may have seen our sign! We volunteer together once a quarter for two hours to pick up trash. It is a great community service and it's a fun social event.
- Trash grabbers, bags, and disposable gloves will be provided.
- You may wish to bring your own gloves. Wear sturdy shoes.
- We'll meet in the parking lot south of the former Dark Horse building (behind McDonald's, the lot backs up to Hwy 36).
** Since this is a weather contingent activity, please monitor your notifications for possible rescheduling due to bad weather. **
We sometimes enjoy lunch afterward at a nearby restaurant.

Colorado Secular Advocacy Team Meeting

Are you concerned about religion creeping further into politics? Do you want to help make sure that Colorado does not pass religiously motivated legislation? Join and help us guard against laws curtailing reproductive freedom, anti-LGBTQ laws, and giving religious groups special privileges and exemptions.
We have joined with the American Atheists organization to form the Colorado Secular Advocacy Team. We are hearing from legislators that they value our perspective and want to collaborate with us! The team is now open to adding new members. See our web page to learn how you can get involved.
