About us
If you don't believe in supernatural entities or powers, if you are concerned about religious intolerance or religiously motivated violence, if you rely on human reasoning and science to guide your decisions and behavior, if you have a naturalistic view of the world, or you just don't believe in God or gods, you are not alone. The Boulder Atheists group provides presentations, meetings, and serves as a social community for atheists, agnostics, rationalists, secular humanists, Brights, and free thinkers in and around Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette, Broomfield, and surrounding communities in Northern Colorado.
Boulder Atheists wish to promote the understanding and acceptance of atheism with public education, good deeds, public activities and affiliations with other local and national secular groups. We strive to be inclusive to ALL and promote gender equality, LGBTQ equality and racial justice.
BA is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) Nonprofit Corporation and relies on membership dues to support the infrastructure required for these events. Please consider becoming a paid member to BA after attending 3 events. Paid annual membership starts at only $35. You can join at boulderatheists.org.
We are dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, welcoming, and harassment-free space and experience for all community participants. Picnic Lunch at Viele Lake
Harlow Platts Community Park, 1360 Gillaspie Dr, Boulder, CO, USLet's enjoy the nice weather with a picnic at Harlow Platts Park / Viele Lake. Meet us at the covered shelter. Bring a lunch and a chair/blanket in case the shelter is full.

Boulder Creek Festival Booth
Boulder Creek Festival, Central Park and Beyond in Downtown Boulder, Boulder, co, USThe annual Boulder Creek Festival will be held over Memorial Day weekend, May 23 - 25. Stop by to visit, or volunteer at our booth. Our booth location is in the library parking lot along Arapahoe Avenue.
This event is a lot of fun, and is our biggest social event of the year!
Volunteer Needed:
- RSVP to this Event.
- Signup for Shifts.
- Volunteer shifts are two hours each and you can sign up for multiple shifts and on multiple days.
- Hours - Sat & Sun: 10 am to 7 pm | Mon: 10 am to 5 pm
- Prior to the event host guides and talking points will be sent out to all who sign up.
Volunteer Activities:
Volunteers engage with passersby to talk about atheism and the Boulder Atheists. Most people who stop by are friendly and curious about what we do. We want at least two people in the booth at all times, but the more the merrier!Looking forward to seeing you all there!!

Longmont Pride Festival Booth
Roosevelt Park Pavillion, Longs Peak and Coffman, Longmont, CO, USPut on your rainbow atheist attire and join us for this fun one-day event held in Longmont's Roosevelt Park! We're looking forward to Longmont Pride Festival again, we had a blast last year. Stop by to say hello or volunteer to staff our booth. Look for us in the SE corner of the park.
