A group of trail runners that are as serious about their trail running as the breakfast that follows. We enjoy diversity in our trails, restaurants, and running cohorts. Many runs are in the Boulder area; however we also look to get into the high country as much as possible. Runs are typically on Saturday mornings. The duration varies from about 1 hour to 3+ depending on location, group fitness, schedules, etc. Terrain can range from easy flat to steep technical. Pace can vary widely however we never let anyone forget why they joined a group.
For Saturday we'll be running the Ceran St. Vrain trail. This trail is moderate with rolling hills at an elevation of around 8k ft. The trailhead is located a few miles west of Jamestown.
The first section of this run is a 6 mile single-track lollipop loop. The second part is an out/back on some old mining roads. So, in total, a candy-wrapper route. The out/back will add another 6 miles for a total of 12; however, you can easily choose your preferred distance. On the return we will stop off and climb Miller's Rock for a nice above-the-canopy view of the Continental Divide. Plan for around 3+ hours.
At the North Foothills Trailhead at 7:30a – At the intersection of Broadway and Hwy 36, head north on 36 a few hundred feet. Turn right onto the dirt road. Trailhead is a little ways down on your left.
The side of Lefthand Canyon Rd. just as you turn off Hwy 36 by the Greenbriar Restaurant at 7:40a.
Feel free to meet us at the trailhead around 8:00a if you know where it is.
Dog friendly trail.
We'll probably eat breakfast at the Jamestown Mercantile.
In your RSVP, please let us know where you intend to meet us.
