Three Pillars of Kubernetes Observability with the Elastic Stack
• Agenda: 18:00 - 18:45: Arrive & mingle with people. 18:45 - 19:30: Main talk. 19:30 - 21:00: Continue chatting & networking. • Speaker: Eric Westberg Eric is a Solutions Architect in the NEMEA team and based in Stockholm, Sweden. Eric spends most of his time supporting users and customers in the Nordic region. Before joining Elastic in 2017, Eric was working at Ericsson in Silicon Valley, where he used the Elastic stack in Ericsson for a multiscreen TV solution SaaS product. • Talk synopsis: Kubernetes is becoming increasingly popular. While Kubernetes can dramatically simplify the task of application deployment in containers, it also adds new set of complexity for the day-to-day tasks of managing application performance, gaining visibility into services. In the dynamic world of microservices, containers and Kubernetes, traditional monitoring solutions is no longer sufficient to provide needed visibilities to maintain healthy and happy environments and applications. Instead, we need insights from all three pillars of observability: logging, metrics and tracing. In this talk, we will cover: • Logging • Monitoring • Tracing • Power of auto-discovery • Sponsors: Jetbrains for giving away a full license to one of their products Elastic for the drinks, food, and swag. Travelstart for the venue. OfferZen for the speaker gift, shirts and stickers • Code of Conduct Please see our Code of Conduct here:
