🌄 ES Yepalo hiking es un grupo multicultural de personas que tienen ganas de conocer a gente nueva y de descubrir impresionantes entornos naturales juntos. Todas las actividades que proponemos están dirigidas por guías profesionales apasionad@s.

Nuestro objetivo es conectar a las personas entre ellas y con la naturaleza, compartir nuestro conocimiento de la montaña y del medio natural, y divertirnos juntos.

Son infinitos y sorprendentes los lugares naturales alrededor de Barcelona y, sin embargo, a menudo desconocidos. Éste es un grupo para cualquier persona interesada en descubrir los secretos naturales de Cataluña y de España. Vamos a conocernos, viajar juntos y vivir nuevas aventuras llenas de sorpresas. Lejos de la multitud, iremos caminando en reservas naturales y nos divertiremos practicando actividades al aire libre suaves (además del senderismo, también nos gustan el kayak, el yoga y el Stand Up Paddle, por ejemplo).

Es belga y vive en Barcelona desde el 2008.
Cuando creó este grupo, no imaginaba que literalmente iba a cambiar su vida. Después de 2 años organizando Meetups de senderismo de forma gratuita y por pura diversión, decidió dejar su trabajo en el sector de la moda para intentar vivir de su pasión. Se formó como guía de montaña (TD2 media Montaña) y junto con Martí (su compañero de formación) ahora organizan salidas en la naturaleza.
Gracias a este grupo Meetup (previamente llamado Catalonia Discovery) y a todas las personas que le han apoyado y motivado en estos últimos años, ha podido conocer a mucha gente estupenda, descubrir lugares increíbles, crear su propio nuevo puesto trabajo y este bonito proyecto: YEPALO.

🧢Martí (Un verdadero amante de la naturaleza y la fotografía, apasionado por la geología, la fauna y la flora)
Nació en Sant Cugat del Vallès, dónde ha vivido gran parte de su vida. Allí tiene a su familia y amigos, crea nuevos proyectos y echa sus principales raíces. Otras raíces las halla en los Pirineos, dónde encontró una parte de sí mismo que no conocía, y es… ¡el amor por la naturaleza y por las montañas!
En una vida pasada estudió y trabajó unos años como bioquímico, pero cambió su rumbo para dedicarse a su pasión. Ahora es guía de montaña(TD2 media Montaña), educador medioambiental y le encanta su trabajo.
Le apasiona la montaña y lo que encuentra en ella… rocas, plantas, animales e historias. Seguramente te lo encontrarás por el monte con camisa y gorra, cámara en mano, con un ojo en el camino y otro buscando animales y flores.
Habla castellano, catalán, inglés y un poquito de francés.

Annabel es nuestra “guru”: nos enseña a caminar de forma consciente y nos prepara sesiones de yoga Kundalini en la naturaleza.

Our goal is to connect people with each other and with nature, to share our knowledge of the mountains and the natural environment, and to have fun together.
👣 What do we do? 👣
The natural places around Barcelona are so numerous and surprising, yet often unknown. This is a group for anyone interested in discovering the natural secrets of Catalonia and Spain. We are going to meet each other, travel together for a day (or more) and live new adventures full of surprises. Away from the crowds, we'll go hiking in nature reserves and have fun practicing gentle outdoor activities (besides hiking, we also like kayaking, yoga and Stand-Up Paddle, for example).

🤠Moshe (CEO - Crazy Enthusiastic Organizer)
He is Belgian and has lived in Barcelona since 2008.
When he created this group, little did he imagine that it would literally change his life. After 2 years organizing free hiking Meetups for fun, he decided to quit his job in the fashion industry to try to live off his passion. He trained as a mountain guide (TD2 media Montaña) and together with Martí (they studied together), they now organize outings in nature.
Thanks to this Meetup group (previously called Catalonia Discovery) and to all the people who have supported and motivated him in the last few years, he has been able to meet many great people, discover incredible places, create his own new job and this amazing beloved project: YEPALO .
He speaks French, Spanish, English, Portuguese and a little bit of Catalan.
🧢Martí (A true lover of nature and photography, passionate about geology, fauna and flora)
He was born in Sant Cugat del Vallès, where he has lived a large part of his life. This is where he has his family and friends, where he creates new projects and where he finds his main roots. Other roots of his are laid in the Pyrenees, where he discovered a so far unknown part of himself, which was... his love for nature and for the mountains!
In a past life, he studied and worked as a biochemist for a few years, but gave his career a major shift to pursue his passion. He is now a mountain guide (TD2 media Montaña), an environmental educator and loves his job.
He is passionate about the mountain and about everything he finds in it: rocks, plants, animals and stories. You'll surely find him in the mountains wearing a shirt and cap, a camera in his hand, with one eye on the road and the other looking for animals and flowers.
He speaks Spanish, Catalan, English and a little bit of French.

We’re heading to one of the emblematic peaks of Montseny Natural Park, also included in the FEEC’s “100 Cims” list.
During the hike, we’ll walk through forests of oak, cork oak and pine, enjoying the peaceful and green atmosphere of this beautiful area of Montseny. Our goal will be to reach the hermitage of Tagamanent, located at 1,055 m, a natural balcony with wide views over the whole area.
It’s a very complete day hike: a good elevation gain, beautiful trails, and that special feeling of reaching a place with history and panoramic views that are truly worth it.🚦Difficulty: moderate

¡Vamos a ascender a la Serra de Bufadors en el límite de las comarcas de Osona y Ripollés que tiene un patrimonio geomorfológico muy especial y escondido: els Bufadors de Beví!
Este lugar único nos sorprenderá por sus huecos y grietas entre grandes bloques de roca por donde salen corrientes de aire que emiten sonidos al viajar el viento a través de las montañas, en un entorno de apariencia mágica, recubierto de musgo, vegetación y flores que cubren las rocas. Nos adentraremos en sus espectaculares bosques de hayas y subiremos por un sendero de gran belleza hasta el castillo de Santa Maria de Besora que nos ofrece unas vistas magnificas de la zona y de todo el Pirineo Oriental.

Let’s go to the Serra de Bufadors on the border of the Osona and the Ripollés regions. There, we’ll discover a very special and hidden geomorphological heritage: the Bufadors de Beví!.From the holes and cracks that we'll find between the large blocks of rocks, we can hear the whisper of the mountain's winds. In this environment of magical appearance the massive stones and walls are covered by beautiful flowers, moss and rich vegetation. We'll enter its spectacular beech forests and hike up through a path of great beauty to reach the castle of Santa Maria de Besora where we’ll enjoy stunning panoramic views of the area and the entire Eastern Pyrenees.

El Congost de Mont-rebei es un impresionante desfiladero que forma la frontera natural entre Aragón y Cataluña. Con el paso del tiempo, el río Noguera Ribagorçana excavó este espectacular congosto a través de la roca caliza de la sierra del Montsec. Hoy, un estrecho sendero excavado por el ser humano en la roca nos permite caminar junto a los acantilados y disfrutar de vistas impresionantes sobre las aguas turquesas que quedan abajo.
Durante este fin de semana descubriremos esta maravilla natural a través del senderismo y el kayak opcional (+ opción de hacer parapente 🪂 y observación de estrellas✨), además de explorar otras dos joyas de la preciosa zona del Montsec.

Día 1: Sant Llorenç de Montgai – Senderismo
Saldremos de Barcelona temprano, el viernes por la mañana a las 8:00, en dirección a la Serra del Montsec.
Tras unas 2 horas en coche, haremos una bonita ruta empezando en el encantador pueblo de Sant Llorenç de Montgai. Descubriremos el pantano de Sant Llorenç, caminaremos a su alrededor y por encima de él, disfrutaremos de vistas increíbles y exploraremos una zona geológica fascinante.
Distancia: 11 km Desnivel positivo: 430 m+Día 2: Congost de Mont-rebei: elige si quieres hacer senderismo, kayak o ambos
El segundo día exploraremos el impresionante Congost de Mont-rebei, un espectacular desfiladero excavado en la roca, con acantilados de más de 500 metros de altura y un estrecho sendero con vistas al cañón y al pantano de Canelles.
Podrás combinar senderismo y/o kayak: empezar caminando y volver en kayak (o al revés), o bien elegir si prefieres hacer el recorrido de ida y vuelta solo en kayak o solo caminando.
Uno de los momentos más espectaculares del día es el famoso tramo de pasarelas colgadas de la pared, adosadas a la roca: un tramo impresionante y muy escénico. Esta parte es opcional.
Senderismo (solo ida): 11 km / +450 m
Kayak (solo ida): alrededor de 2 horas✨Como nos alojaremos bastante cerca del Parque Astronómico del Montsec, también tendrás la oportunidad de disfrutar de una experiencia única de observación del cielo nocturno (opcional +18€).
Día 3: Ruta secreta + pantano de Camarasa + parapente opcional
El tercer día haremos una ruta secreta por una zona poco conocida y nada masificada. Disfrutaremos de espectaculares vistas panorámicas sobre el pantano y descubriremos una preciosa ermita construida en un lugar realmente único. Es una ruta perfecta para desconectar y disfrutar de la paz y la belleza de la naturaleza.
Distancia: 13 km
Desnivel positivo: 470 m+🪂Después de la ruta, también podrás elegir de forma opcional hacer un vuelo en parapente en uno de los lugares más icónicos de España para practicar esta actividad (+110€).
Después volveremos a Barcelona, con una hora estimada de llegada entre las 20:00 y las 21:00

Las rutas no son aptas para personas con vértigo o miedo a las alturas, ya que pasaremos cerca de acantilados y por algunas estructuras expuestas como puentes y pasarelas.

Nos alojaremos en un hostal en Àger, en habitaciones compartidas para 6 personas con literas. Las habitaciones estarán reservadas solo para nuestro grupo.
El desayuno está incluido.
También podrás pedir un picnic por 7€ extra al día.
Para las cenas, propondremos ir a restaurantes locales con quienes quieran apuntarse. Cada persona podrá elegir libremente dónde y qué quiere comer, y pagará su propia comida y bebida.
🚗 ¿Cómo llegaremos?
Viajaremos en coches particulares compartidos. Cuando te apuntes, te pediremos que nos digas si tienes coche y cuántas personas puedes llevar contigo. Cada pasajero pagará 35€ al conductor para ayudar con los gastos de gasolina y peajes.

The Congost de Mont-rebei is an impressive gorge that forms the natural border between Aragón and Catalonia. Over time, the Noguera Ribagorçana River carved this spectacular gorge through the limestone of the Montsec range. Today, a narrow man-made path cut into the rock allows us to walk along the cliffs and enjoy breathtaking views over the turquoise waters below.During this weekend, we’ll discover this stunning natural wonder through hiking and optional kayaking (and paragliding🪂**)**, as well as explore two other gems of the beautiful Montsec area.

Day 1: Sant Llorenç de Montgai – Hiking
We’ll leave Barcelona early on Friday morning at 8:00 AM, heading towards the Serra del Montsec.
After around 2 hours by car, we’ll go for a beautiful hike starting from the charming village of Sant Llorenç de Montgai. We’ll discover the Sant Llorenç reservoir, walk around it and above it, enjoy amazing views, and explore a fascinating geological area.
Distance: 11 km Elevation gain: 430 m+Day 2: Congost de Mont-rebei – choose whether you want to hike, kayak, or do both
On Day 2, we’ll explore the stunning Congost de Mont-rebei, a dramatic gorge carved through the rock with cliffs over 500 meters high and a narrow path overlooking the canyon and the Canelles reservoir. You’ll be able to combine hiking and/or kayaking: start hiking and come back kayaking (or the other way around) or choose if you just prefer to kayak both ways or hike both ways.One of the highlights of the day is the famous cliffside boardwalk section attached to the rock face — an impressive and very scenic stretch. This part is optional.
Hiking (one way): 11 km / +450 m
Kayaking (one way): around 2 hours✨As we’ll be hosted quite close to the Astronomic Park of the Montsec, you’ll also have the opportunity to enjoy a unique night sky observation (optional +€18).
Day 3: Secret hike + Camarasa reservoir + optional paragliding On day 3 we'll go for secret hike through a little-known and uncrowded area. We’ll enjoy spectacular panoramic views over the reservoir and discover a beautiful hermitage built in a truly unique location. It’s the perfect hike to disconnect and enjoy the peace and beauty of nature.
Distance: 13 km
Elevation gain: 470 m+🪂After the hike, you can optionally choose to go for a paragliding flight in one of the most iconic places in Spain for this activity (+€110).
Then we’ll head back to Barcelona, with an estimated arrival time of around 8:00–9:00 PM.

🥾 Hiking difficulty: moderate
The hikes are not suitable for people with vertigo or fear of heights, as we’ll pass close to cliffs and over some exposed structures such as bridges and boardwalks.

We’ll be kayaking on calm water for around 2–3 hours.🪂 Paragliding difficulty (optional): beginners welcome
🏡 Accommodation and meals
We’ll stay in a hostel in Àger, in shared rooms for 6 people with bunk beds. The rooms will be reserved just for our group.
Breakfast is included.
You can also order a picnic for an extra €7 per day.
For dinner, we’ll suggest going to local restaurants with those who want to join. Each person can choose freely where and what they want to eat, and will pay for their own food and drinks.🚗 How we'll get there?
We’ll travel in shared private cars. When you sign up, you'll be invited to let us know if you have a car, and how many people can come with you. Each passenger will pay 35€ to the driver for gas and tolls.

The Plan
🥾 The Pedraforca (2,506m), is one of the most emblematic mountains of Catalonia. Its particular shape with its 2 twin peaks (some says it has a heart shape) have given birth to many legends for centuries. The hike to the top of the Pedraforca has become one of the mythical excursions every mountaineer should do in Catalonia.We'll do the hike from and back to the picturesque vilage of Gosol. Starting the ascent to Pedraforca from Gósol provides a quieter and often more solitary mountain experience, with fewer hikers on the trail and greater chances to spot wildlife. We'll ascend towards the shaded side of the Tossa range, passing through beautiful pine forests. We'll reach the ridge of the range and tackle the long uphill traverse to the Enforcadura. From this point, we make the final ascent to the summit of Pollegó Superior.
🚦Difficulty: High.
Appart from the gain of altitude, the climb from the Enforcadura to the summit of Pollegó Superior is quite challenging and may require using your hands on more than one occasion. However, there is no sense of exposure.Distance: 9 Km 🔘🔘⚪⚪⚪

🥾 El Pedraforca (2.506m), es una de las montañas más emblemáticas de Cataluña. Su especial forma con sus 2 cimas gemelas y su tartera bien visible desde lejos (unos dicen que tiene forma de corazón) han inspirado a muchas leyendas desde hace siglos.
La subida del Pedraforca (piedra – horca) se ha convertido en una de las excursiones míticas de Cataluña. Situada entre los términos municipales de Saldes y Gósol, en el Berguedà, el macizo del Pedraforca forma parte del Parque Natural del Cadí-Moixeró y sus alrededores han sido declarados paraje natural de interés nacional.Realizaremos la caminata de ida y vuelta desde el pintoresco pueblo de Gósol. Comenzar la ascensión al Pedraforca desde Gósol ofrece una experiencia de montaña más tranquila y a menudo más solitaria, con menos excursionistas en el sendero y mayores oportunidades para observar la fauna. Ascenderemos hacia la vertiente umbría de la sierra de la Tossa, pasando por hermosos bosques de pinos. Alcanzaremos la cresta de la sierra y abordaremos el largo flanqueo en subida hasta la Enforcadura. Desde este punto, haremos la ascensión final hasta la cima del Pollegó Superior.
🚦Nivel de dificultad: Díficil.
Además del desnivel, la subida desde la Enforcadura hasta la cima del Pollegó Superior es bastante desafiante y puede requerir el uso de las manos en más de una ocasión. Sin embargo, no hay sensación de exposición.
