New Event: September Meetup Part I

Announcing a new event for Phoenix Writing Workshop!

What: September Meetup Part I

When: Thursday, September 6, 7:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Event Description: We'll start with anything someone wants to bring up, so feel free to bring any ideas for the group. We will then have some shared stories.

This is more of a social event for sharing work to find out if they have potential than a formal critique of work for areas of improvement. The smaller weekly coffee house meetups are great if you want detailed critiques. Keep an eye on the calendar for more events.

By keeping the critiques at this event more lightweight, I am hoping we can share more works. Bring anything that is 1-2 pages long to share. You can bring longer pieces, but if there are several people you may be cut short. Having a few copies for people to use to read along would be helpful.

I have also limited the group to 20 for now to keep the group somewhat manageable.

Posh Nosh is a little quiet place in beautiful downtown Mesa, across from the art museum. It has some soups, personal pizzas, pasta bowls, and salads. And something called a pastie that looked like a calzone. Plus some really decadent desserts, like gelato, creme brulee, cheesecake, and cookies. When I was there last, service was a little slow, we surprised them with a group of about 12 and there was only one person working behind the counter.
