What we’re about

Chip Design in Eastern MA is a Meetup of... well, folks interested in chip design in Eastern MA. We'll focus on digital synchronous (clocked) logic design. All experience levels are welcome. Some topics will be appropriate for beginners, some for experts. Topics may include: digital logic and FPGA design techniques and considerations, interesting research and innovations, open source projects, Hardware Design Languages (Verilog, VHDL, SystemC, TLM, BlueSpec, ...), industry practices and design methodologies, etc. The organizer, Steve Hoover, is an 18-year veteran chip designer (DEC, Compaq, Intel), now CEO of Redwood EDA (redwoodeda.com) bringing Transaction-Level Verilog (TL-Verilog) (TL-X.org) tools to the industry. Steve will lead general chip design topics as well as topics specific to TL-Verilog, and will invite expert guests to speak on other topics.
