Weekly Civic Hack Night – Plus Speaker Jennifer Pahlka

We’re thrilled to announce a very special speaker at Code for San Francisco next week:

Jennifer Pahlka, the founder of Code for America! Jen will talk about improving existing systems compared to starting new projects, drawing on her experiences leading CfA and working with the White House.

RSVP on Meetup - this one will fill up, so make sure you’re on the list!

Jen’s bio is below, but first we have a couple other announcements:

Get your DiscoTech on next week! A DiscoTech is a Discovering Technology event, and the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts wants to collaborate with Code for San Francisco to have one on October 4th as part of their Open City/Art City Open Art and Ideas Festival. Join the conversation after Jen’s talk, and be a part of making this collaborative event happen!

We will not have a hack night on September 24th due to the Code for America Summit. We’ll have more information soon about streaming for Summit talks and other events that may be open to Brigade members.

How's that for luck...I am going to be in Mountain View that day. I may be late, but I plan to be there!

Sadly...the meeting ran too late. I'm not going to make it after all.
