What we're about

Please join if you are interested in living in an intentional community like cohousing in the Duluth MN region. While the group name is Cohousing, we meet to talk about living in community and explore current and future models that might apply. We discuss the pros and cons of an intentional community. Event attendees are welcome to share their stories and visions of what they want from a lifestyle that needs collaboration, cooperation, and sharing as core values. Ideally, members will get to know each other well enough to create their own community forming group because they want to think about living together.

Live Session with National Cohousing Expert

Needs a location

October 12th you can hear pioneer cohousing leader Ann Zabaldo with her talk "My Role in Creating Cohousing". This is free and open to all, but advance registration is required to reserve a Zoom link.

Ann Zabaldo was a driving force and consultant to EcoHousing Corporation for the development of award winning Eastern Village Cohousing in Silver Spring, Maryland and Takoma Village Cohousing in Washington, DC where she lives with 65 adults, 20 children, nine dogs and "waaay too many cats". Ann also co-founded Mid Atlantic Cohousing, a regional non-profit focusing on the art of living in community. For Ann, cohousing boils down to "everyone living next to someone who cares about them."

After her presentation, Ann will take audience questions.

The 501 c3 nonprofit Twin Cities Cohousing Network (TCCN) is presenting this program as part of its "Meet the Professionals" series to advance cohousing in Minnesota.

Happy Hour

Link visible for attendees

We are returning to zoom since the temperature is too nippy to meet outside and certainly getting dark for our happy hour time. Let's continue exploring living in an intentional community in the Duluth region. Let's continue sharing our ideas.
