Lake District Weekend Coach Trip + Hotel (3 days/2 nights) - £190 (£50 Deposit)
Join us on a Weekend Luxury Coach Trip to the beautiful Lake District in Northern England. This excursion over 3 days will take place between Saturday 27th October to Monday 29th October. The trip will include a 2-night stay in the 3-star Cumbria Grand Hotel, which is set in 20 acres of gardens and woodlands, with bed + breakfast also included. Autumn is often regarded as the best time to visit the Lake District as the colours are so spectacular. On this private trip, just for our meetup group members, we will be visiting: Lake Windermere, the largest lake in England, the beautiful Lake District towns of Ambleside, Keswick, and Bowness-on-Windermere and the stunning village of Grasmere. We will also be visiting several other lakes in this dramatic region, which has a stunning backdrop of England’s highest mountain range. There will also be an optional 90-minute cruise on Lake Windermere. Included in the price of £190 (£50 Deposit): • Privately-hired, luxury return coach travel over three days from London to the Lake District region. • Two Nights Hotel Accommodation in a 3-star hotel with bed and breakfast. This will be based on two members sharing a twin room. However, there will also be limited single rooms available at an additional £50 per person (£25 per night). UPDATE: SINGLE ROOMS ARE NOW FULLY BOOKED. • Fully planned trip with a very detailed itinerary. This whole weekend trip will be hosted by two very experienced meetup organisers, with 5 years’ experience of organising very successful trips through this Meetup.com social travel group. • Guided microphone commentary on the coach over the weekend of the Lake District and of all the destinations which we will be visiting. • Concise guides/booklets on Ambleside, Keswick, Grasmere, Bowness-on-Windermere and an overview of the entire Lake District itself, which we have personally researched and written. • Optional Treasure-Hunt which was created by the organisers when we visit Grasmere. • Both a Quiz and Raffle on the coach with prizes. Earlier in the year, my brother and myself (who organise this meetup group) spent 7 days exploring the Lake District specifically to pre-plan this trip, as so many members had requested us to visit this world-famous region. It's finally going ahead :-) An Introduction to the Lake District: The Lake District, set in the stunning county of Cumbria, is not only the largest national park in England covering 885 square miles, but also a UNESCO World Heritage Site (2017). It's spectacular and diverse landscape of: beautiful lakes, pools, rivers, mountains, fells and picturesque towns and villages draws in over 15 visitors per annum. What we're about

Day Trips from London is brought to you by the main organisers of one of the largest and best reviewed groups on Meetup.com - Friends in London. (https://www.meetup.com/friends-in-london/)We've been organising some of the most popular meetup events for 10 years.

We organise regular Day Trips from London to some of the most historic and beautiful places in the UK. The destinations we have visited so far include; Bath, Birmingham Christmas Market, Blenheim Palace, Bournemouth, Brighton, Bristol, Broadstairs Viking Bay, Cambridge, Canterbury, Cardiff, Christchurch, Corfe Castle, Cotswolds, Durdle Door, Ely, Lulworth Cove, Newmarket Race Course, Oxford, Poole, Portsmouth, Rye, Rochester, Salisbury, Sandbanks, Seven Sisters, Stratford upon Avon, Wales, Weymouth, White Cliffs of Dover and Winchester Christmas Market.

The vast majority of our trips involve booking luxury air conditioned coaches. We also organise shorter trips via train and have organised boat trips. Our Day Trips from London also regularly include guided tours and visits to famous attractions as part of the package.

The social part of the Day Trips is just as important. So we also arrange optional After-Trip-Drinks when we return to London in the late evening. This gives everyone the chance to continue socialising, discuss your day trip experience and continue making friends over a few drinks.

Joining any new meetup group can be overwhelming as the choice is so wide and varied. However, we have a proven track record of running very successful social events through our Friends in London Meetup Group. You can check out the reviews/ratings for the past 400 meetup events we have run on our sister Meetup Group by 'Clicking Here' (https://www.meetup.com/friends-in-london/).

Day Trips from London Meetup Group was founded 5 years ago by brothers Martyn Lloyd and Terry Lloyd who continue to host all events. Some of the meetup events we have organised together are often the best attended of any meetup group in the UK, so we're very experienced event organisers who are meticulous when it comes to planning details.

Mainly, it's also about having fun. On our Day Trips you'll be part of a club where everyone is there to socialise in addition to sight-seeing. The majority of members attend by themselves and we always ensure no-one is left out - so don't worry about being nervous or shy.

50 of the 53 trips we have organised so far have received a maximum overall rating of 5 stars from those members attending (reading the reviews/ratings of past events is so important for anyone deciding to join any meetup group). We hope to continue the high standard we have set on all future trips. This is why we always visit new destinations for our trips before they are scheduled. Sometimes we spend entire weekends in locations before deciding upon whether they would be suitable or not to organise a new meetup day trip. This ensures the events can be organised with as much detail as possible and we know that a destination will be suitable for our group.

Please note that unfortunately we can only offer our day trip to adults due to the vastly increased legal responsibilities that will otherwise be involved (and we are just meetup group and just do not have the resources to adjust this policy). However, providing members are adults (18 and over) all ages are welcome at our events.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me (Martyn). You can do so by clicking on my profile photograph and choosing the option to message. Alternatively you can contact us via mobile phone between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm

By attending any of our day trips members (and guests of members) confirm they have read and agreed with our terms and conditions. Please 'Click Here' (http://www.meetup.com/Day-Trips-From-London/pages/Terms_and_Conditions/) to read these terms and conditions.

Martyn Lloyd and Terry Lloyd who founded this meetup group organise events on behalf of Trips from London Ltd and we both still continue to host/attend every trip.
