Each evening a new Episode...a new level and new adventures. This is a great way to learn various roles, classes and races, or become more acquainted with your favorite. This game will run on Monday and Friday nights with 1-2 episodes per night. Please RSVP. If you can't make the full night but the first episode or 2nd episode, let me know. Monday nights will only run 1 episode (except on Labor Day). Fridays we will try to get through at least 2.

Common Grounds asks that there is at least 1 drink per person...a good rule of thumb though is plan on buying at least 2 drinks, dinner or a pastry.

"Be prepared to die!" said the DM to his players as the dragon breathed it's icy breath. The stalwart paladin slowly stood up after being knocked unconscious for the fourth time. He glanced toward the exit again, wondering if would be against his code of honor to abandon his friends for the sake of his own neck.

A note about character creation:

When building a character above level 1, you typically follow these rules:

Characters must be "legal" and in accordance with the latest Player's Handbook (in this case, everything up to and including Neverwinter Campaign Setting) All PC's must show their character sheets to the DM before playing, preferably in PDF format via email, but that may not always be the case Characters will start at the lowest XP value for that level (i.e. level 2 characters will have 1000xp, not 1020) Characters will start out with 3 magic items (one of their level and one plus/minus their level) and gold pieces valued at a magic item of their level -1 (i.e. level 6 char has magic item Lvl's 5,6&7 and 1000gp) I allow characters to take an adventurer's kit and one standard (non-magical) implement, weapon or focus item (ritual book, spell book, holy symbol, ki focus, totem, orb, etc.) of their choice. as long as their character can use it at no cost A note about house rules:

Other than buying a drink, there are some house rules that apply:

When talking, please keep things relevant and in character If you have an argument with another player, handle it as though you were there character and let things resolve remember that you are here to have fun and work as a team Action points are action points...use them or lose them no lying, cheating, stealing, manipulating or attempting to violate the rules and mechanics of the game...unless you plan on rolling a d20 for such behaviors be creative, use all aspects of your characters in the game, use all of your skills as a player in the game when in doubt, ask. I may not have the answers, but at least one of us will have the book and can look things up I don't like to look things up all the time, accept my judgment with the knowledge that I will most likely look it up or ask about it later...unless I forget
