Join me at Ocean Beach Yoga every Thursday for a balanced Yoga flow. We will build strength and flexibility with a focus on mindful movements incorporating healthy alignment and awareness of breath. Kelsey has been practicing yoga since 2011. Since, she has been immersing herself in Eastern Yogic Philosophy, Zen, Meditation and mainly Iyengar Based Asana. She studied and assisted with teachers Tal Swissa and Arnaud Chartier in RYT Yoga Therapy and Alignment in Thailand. She would also like to thank Nicole Mcracken and Janet Stone for their teachings. Kelsey uses yoga as a metaphor for life and a tool she is passionate to share with her students. Mixed levels class. Beginners welcome. (Please bring your own mat or a towel). We meet at 10:45am by the Garfield statue to the right and infront of the Conservatory and then walk over to our beautiful outdoor practice area. Please arrive before 11am at the statue so we can walk over and start practice at 11am together and so you know where to go. Class Details ~Fun and playful class that'll make you sweat and then slow it down to unwind at the end. Class focuses on aligning breath with movement, standing and seated postures, beginning inversions, and a few restorative poses to unwind from the week. ~This is a donation based class, making yoga more accessible to all. I am a holistic therapist and yoga instructor in the Bay Area, specializing in practices that integrate the whole person -- mind, body, and spirit -- to promote healing and wellness. Coming from a lifelong background in dance and a family of artists and musicians, I have always found movement and creative expression to be a vital part of emotional work and healing. In my studies and work in the mental health field for over 10 years, I have witnessed first hand how yoga and other practices that incorporate the whole being provide much more than just temporary symptom relief.
