Kelsey has been practicing yoga since 2011. Since, she has been immersing herself in Eastern Yogic Philosophy, Zen, Meditation and mainly Iyengar Based Asana. She studied and assisted with teachers Tal Swissa and Arnaud Chartier in RYT Yoga Therapy and Alignment in Thailand. She would also like to thank Nicole Mcracken and Janet Stone for their teachings. I am a holistic therapist and yoga instructor in the Bay Area, specializing in practices that integrate the whole person -- mind, body, and spirit -- to promote healing and wellness. Coming from a lifelong background in dance and a family of artists and musicians, I have always found movement and creative expression to be a vital part of emotional work and healing. In my studies and work in the mental health field for over 10 years, I have witnessed first hand how yoga and other practices that incorporate the whole being provide much more than just temporary symptom relief. These practices foster a deep a true understanding of your process to stimulate healing, helping you to move forward with strength, resiliency, and trust in yourselves to make healthy life choices, becoming more skillfully adept in your thoughts and reactions to life's challenges. In classes and private sessions with me I guide you in mindfulness practices, meditations, and movement flows that tap into multiple facets of what it means to be human. My group classes are mixed level and meet each student where they are at while still challenging them to reach new heights of self-realization, acceptance, strength and flexibility, both on and off of the mat. I will push you to challenge yourself while also guiding you to listen to your body and intuition. I teach from a place of authenticity, passion and playfulness. "Strength to show up, to be your authentic self, and be heard. Let yoga be a guide to get you there." See you on the mat ♥ Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Peace to all.
