Come learn intermediate Git and GitHub topics from Tim Berglund of GitHub!
In this workshop we will go over the following:
• Forking a repository
• How to resolve merge conflicts
• Rebasing
• Submodules
• Ignoring files and directories in git
Before attending class you should have fundamental knowledge of GitHub and Git including: creating repositories, pushing, pulling, branching and pull requests. Please be sure that you have installed Git and have a github.com (http://github.com/) account. For instructions on how to install Git, check out these instructions from GitHub: http://teach.github.com/articles/github-class-prerequisites/
Please bring your laptop and charger. This will be a hands on workshop!
