What we're about

You don't need your own dog but you probably need to like them! We are a people and dog-friendly group, typically taking a 2-3 hour walk with 25-30 people (and 25-30 dogs!) every other weekend in Gloucestershire or nearby. We also have evening walks in the summer, activities like canoeing and weekends away.

Gloucestershire Walking with Dogs is run as a voluntary, amateur social group (your Meetup membership terms (https://www.meetup.com/terms/) include a release of liability for group organisers). Think of it as joining a group of friends for a walk, where you are responsible for the safety and actions of yourself and your dogs.

Like any responsible walker, we expect everyone to close gates, put dogs on leads around livestock, and take other reasonable steps to stay safe and be courteous to landowners and other users of the areas we visit.

We ask for 50p on walks towards the Meetup subscription fee, with any remaining money kept in a kitty for other group activities (organisers do not receive any income or reimbursement of costs). If paid activities are organised, these are charged at the cost of the third party without markup.

Please get in touch with any questions via the site or call Ben on 07968 211023.

Park along the road rather than in their car park. ** Unfortunately we are strictly limited to 6 walkers so please only come if you're on the "going" list, make sure your guest is included, and cancel if you can't come so that someone else can. Walk from The Ivy, North Littleton, Worcs + picnic

The Ivy

Thanks Toni for offering to lead our first satellite walk! A variation of last year's 5 mile walk near Evesham, a circular route from the Ivy a bit further up the river. Usually no livestock, no stiles and flat other than one hill with steps. Bring a picnic to stop midway. Meet at the Ivy in North Littleton, there is a small car park nearby and beer garden for after. It's fine to park in the pub if you're having a drink after (they know we're coming), but otherwise please park on the road.
