About us
You don't need your own dog but you probably need to like them! We are a people and dog-friendly group, typically taking a 2-3 hour walk with 25-30 people (and 25-30 dogs!) every other weekend in Gloucestershire or nearby. We also have evening walks in the summer, plus activities like canoeing and camping.
Gloucestershire Walking with Dogs is run as a voluntary, amateur social group (your Meetup membership terms include a release of liability for group organisers). Think of it as joining a group of friends for a walk, where you are responsible for the safety and actions of yourself and your dogs.
Like any responsible walker, we expect everyone to close gates, put dogs on leads around livestock, and take other reasonable steps to stay safe and be courteous to landowners and other users of the areas we visit.

Bredon Hill walk (2.5 hours ish)
Kemerton, Outside The Crown Inn,, Kemerton, GL20 7HP, GB5 miles offlead over Bredon Hill (don't say I didn't warn you of the hill!) should be about 2.5 hours.
Pub lunch booked for 6 at 1.30pm at the Yew Tree (2 mins drive - Crown doesn't do lunch on Saturdays) - please let me know if you want to join in case I need to update numbers.
Meet at the Crown Inn in Kemerton, GL20 7HP. Park along the road rather than in their car park.

Mallards Pike, Lydney, GBAround 5 mile loop in the Forest of Dean starting round the lake. Nice cafe and outside tables available at the end. It's all off-lead, no livestock (possible boar!) and fairly flat through the woods.
The lake is near Blakeney on the A48, follow the signposts for Go Ape! GL15 4HD once you pass Blakeney. Parking is £6 for 4 hours (or you can park opposite the turning on the main road and walk 5 mins). Meet in the car park near the ticket machine and loos.
