Humanist Monthly Program: Secular Identity and Values

Details
Ever heard an atheist say they use "Logic and Reason," or that separation of church and state is the only issue the secular movement should care about? This talk goes over the process of identity building, how much of our secular experience is still emotional/illogical, and why our worldview has to expand beyond an antithesis to religion.
Our presenter Pete Zupan went to the University of Colorado at Boulder for a BA in Philosophy of Law, influenced by his passion for Church/State separation. He worked as an intern for Americans United for Separation of Church and State and is now a Campus Organizer for the Secular Student Alliance.
When not working for SSA, Pete likes to spoil his dogs and go on adventures with them. He also enjoys Skyrim and real time strategy games, being angry at the Religious Right, and pretending that everything is going to turn out okay.
Join us at 11:30 for pizza in the meeting room! The formal program starts at 12:00.
