Details
JT Eberhard is our featured speaker for April. Eberhard is the
author of the popular blog What Would JT Do? as well as the co-founder of the Skepticon conference and is well known in the Freethought community for his activism on atheism and LGBT rights. JT joined the Secular Student Alliance (SSA) as the first High School specialist. During his time with SSA, JT built a program specifically tailored for teenage activists and increased the number of high school affiliations by 400%. In 2012, JT left SSA, but remains a member of their Speakers Bureau continuing his work with the secular community. Now he writes and tours the country full time.
Recently, JT was our Keynote speaker at the Winter Solstice Banquet (http://youtu.be/GvuLVhhhU9Q) and spoke about his experiences in the Freethought Community and its impact on his personal journey. He also reflected on positive aspects of the movement and goals we can reach for in the future. JT’s topic for April will expand on his previous topic and will discuss the importance of using reason to live wisely.
Please join us in the conference room at 12:30 pm for pizza prior to the event!
