EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN KEN'S WALKS, a friendly group of walkers (Over 23,000 Members) mainly featuring WALKS in all the green parts of London (in places you have probably never heard of) and surrounding countryside and coastal towns. Change your life (physical health and mental health) dramatically for the better!!
YOU CAN JOIN KEN'S WALKS and EVENTS FOR FREE and just pay a £5 contribution for each event attended!!!
THERE IS NO JOINING FEE. INSTEAD FROM JANUARY 1st 2024 THERE WILL BE A COLLECTION OF A £5 CONTRIBUTION FOR EACH WALKING EVENT in LONDON ATTENDED (known as the 'pay as you go' option) OR YOU CAN PURCHASE A KEN'S EVENTS CARD (only £25 for a full 12 months validity from date of purchase, (known as the 'season ticket' and equivalent to only £2.08 pence per month), thus allowing you to save loads of money if you come to more than 5 walks a year!
Social Events: Our walks are social walks, where the emphasis is on meeting new people, enjoying nature, healthy exercise, and fresh air. Our walks are not interrupted with running commentaries or historical lectures, although occasionally features of significance may be pointed out. As such our walks will be continuous with few stops and it is your responsibilty to keep walkers ahead in view and to follow the direction of the walk. We always end the walk at a pub with a convivial atmosphere where the socialising can continue. Be sure to join us in the pub for the whole experience!

The walk leader is not and does not purport to be a professional guide, or a medical professional, but is instead a like minded individual who also enjoys hill walking and who is familiar with the intended route.

Tottenhale hale Underground Station, Ferry Lane, London, GBA Green Walk through scenic Walthamstow Wetlandsand on to the Olympic Park
WALK START: Tottenham Hale Station (Victoria Line and National Rail - Zone 3). When you arrive at the start look for Ken with the Meetup/ 'KEN'S EVENTS' Flag/Sign/Badge.
WALK DISTANCE: Approx 6.5 miles.
WALK ROUTE: Walk through Walthamstow Wetlands, Walthamstow and Hackney Marshes, along the River Lea to the Olympic Park and Westfield Stratford.
WALK FINISH: Stratford (and Stratford International) Station. (Elizabeth Line, National Rail, Jubilee Line and Central Line and DLR- Zone 2/3)

NEW GREEN £5 WALK: LLOYD PARK and ADDINGTON HILLS🌲🌳🌿🌱
East Croydon Train Station, Croydon, CR0 1LF, London, GBToday we walk through the scenery of Park Hill, Lloyd Park and Addington Hills with its spectacular viewpoint.
WALK START: East Croydon Railway Station (National Rail - Travel Zone 4/5)
WALK ROUTE: From East Croydon Railway Station we walk through Park Hill, Lloyd Park and then enter Addington Hills where we take in the views before finishing in Coombe Woods Park and then Coombe Lodge
WALK DISTANCE: Approx 4.5/5 miles.
WALK FINISH: At Coombe Lodge pub, close to Coombe Lane Station (Tramway- Travel Zone 4)
STOPOUT POINT: Throughout the walk we will cross several London bus routes.
COST of EVENT: A £5 meetup organiser's contribution will be collected from attendees who do not hold the Ken's Events Membership Card.

BANK HOLIDAY - CLASSIC HAMPSTEAD HEATH🌲🌳💧 and SECRET PERGOLA £5 WALK🌿🌱
Golders Green Station, Golders Green Underground Station, London, GBBANK HOLIDAY WALK-:
A CLASSIC WALK through north London's top green and wooded area with its impressive Secret Pergola and Kenwood House.We will travel through various parts of Hampstead Heath and Highgate Woods.
ENJOY the UNDULATING HILLS and VALES, WOODLANDS LAKES and PONDS of HAMPSTEAD HEATH and HIGHGATE WOODS and visit the SPLENDID SECRET PERGOLA, and don't miss the in season. blooms.
All this is followed by more socialising in a pub with cheap food and drinks in a convivial atmosphere.
Todays walk also passes through Golders Hill Park with its forgotten zoo and manicured gardens, before heading to the SECRET PERGOLA (a section of which is pictured above).
PERGOLA: Well hidden amongst the trees and constructed during the years 1904 to 1925. It is a magnificent Edwardian extravagance built as the setting for garden parties and summer evening strolls.
Overgrown with vines and flowers, Hampstead Pergola is pretty magical, in any season. However in spring, wisteria and other spring flowers curl around the trellises, making the Pergola a beautiful and popular backdrop for wedding photographs and fashion model shoots.WALK START: Meeting at Golders Green Station (Northern Line - Edgware Branch - Zone 3). Look for Ken with Kens Events/Meetup Badge.
WALK FINISH: Finishing at the Mossy Well pub in Muswell Hill. which is a 15 minute walk or short bus ride to East Finchley Tube Station, Highgate Tube Station or Archway Tube Station (all on the Northern Line).
WALK ROUTE: Our walk is through Golders Hill Park and Zoo, before heading to the SECRET PERGOLA. Afterwards we head across Hampstead Heath and will pass by the beautifully and recently restored KENWOOD HOUSE with its glorious views across the heath before heading through Highgate Woods to the Mossy Well pub in Muswell Hill.
WALK STOPOUT POINT: We cross several London bus routes.
