Where: Frog Hike at Devil’s Lake State Park.
When: Saturday April 20, 7:30-9:00 pm
Meet: Devil’s Lake State Park, Steinke Basin parking lot at 7:15 P.M.
Let's have fun listening to the croaking frogs! This is a guided hike by the park’s naturalist. If you are a frog fanatic, you will want to join us for this nocturnal trip to the park’s kettle ponds. We’ll listen for spring peepers, chorus frogs, and gray tree frogs. We’ll also explore what other night sounds we can hear as we hike the Johnson Moraine Trail. Bring your flashlight as we’ll be hiking right around dusk for about a 1/2 mile. We are walking groomed trails that take us to the ponds where the frogs are. By 9pm it gets rather dark and a flashlight is handy. Meet at the Steinke Basin parking lot. Kids are welcome.

Cost: The ”Croaking Frog Hike” is FREE; however, your vehicle will need a daily park sticker. There is a self pay station at the Steinke Basin parking lot for $7 per day, cash or check. Please allow plenty of time to obtain your parking sticker.
Events and times may change due to weather and other factors beyond their control. I will let everyone know if there is a change.
Last year those frogs were loud! I look forward to seeing all of you.
