Noontime Meditation
Take 30 minutes in the middle of a busy weekday to let go of stress and tension, experience an inner stillness and sense of well being. Meditation brings our intellectual understanding down to our heart where we can experience our own inner peace which is always there beneath that stress and tension from the busyness of our daily lives. Everyone is welcome to attend these guided meditations. They are suitable for everyone, regardless of background or experience. Walk-ins are encouraged, you will be pleasantly surprised! Feel free to bring a lunch to enjoy in the Community Room. There are also many restaurants within walking distance. Wednesday Noontime Meditations are guided by Carl Welter Cost: $5/Class or Free for GP/FP Members and Benefactors

What we're about

Meet like-minded people interested in meditation near you! Learn how to meditate or deepen your current meditation practice. A trademark of the meditations we emphasize is the ease in which they can be used both "on the cushion" and in our daily lives. Each meeting will include practical meditation, and a talk on how to reduce stress and other problems encountered in daily life and how to increase mental and physical well-being. There will also be plenty of time to discuss the ideas presented. Although the meditations and talks are based on Kadampa Buddhist philosophy, you don't need to be a Buddhist to enjoy this group. Kadampa Buddhism stresses a spiritual path of individual transformation and to look within ourselves for the inner peace and happiness we seek. Everyone is welcome!
