Advanced Tune-up Training-Head tube, Bottom Bracket, Wheel Hubs, Shift Recovery
This is a two day 12 hour course (includes a tool kit). . It will run Saturdays commencing the first meet-up date. The student will learn the following skills with hand-ons demonstrations: 1. Service/Rebuild the head tube - Includes a full explanation of the head set types, bearing sizes. We will discuss and the proper tools and delve into how to select a new set for building new bikes and the challenges. 2. Bottom Bracket Service/Rebuild - many type of BB systems exist. This this demonstration we will rebuild the most common type, with an explanation of upgrading to cassette. However, we will be using loose bearings giving the student a better understanding. 3. Wheel Hub Servicing - The student will gain the understanding of how to rebuild wheel hubs. Including an explanation of removing rear gear systems (cassette and freewheel) the challenges faced with many different systems. 4. Chain Inspection/cleaning and breaking - The student will get an understanding the the different size of chains, from 6 to 12 speed, and understand the different methods of breaking and installing. 5. Shift Recovery - The student will gain the understanding of how to correct annoying shift issues. How to identify more serious issues, and what steps to take to correct. What we're about

This is a group for anyone interested in cycling. All skills levels are welcome. This group was created for the purpose of connecting people interested in riding and encourage those thinking about getting back on the saddle. Looking forward to meeting new people and planning some rides with everybody! All people 18 year of age and older, and live within a 200km radius of Millet are the ideal members to join.
