MMQ San Francisco Drop-In Qigong Class: Friday 10:15am
Qigong ("chee-gong") is mindful movement exercise designed to restore health, increase energy and open heart space to improve mood, function and overall well being! If you have yet to try it, please join us and experience the community, the benefits and fun! Class are great for beginners and experienced Qigongers alike. All levels of fitness, ability and experience are welcome to join. Each class will consist of qigong movements and exercises for self-healing and a guided meditation. Suzannah is an acupuncturist and medical qigong teacher and practitioner with clinics in both San Francisco and Berkeley, CA. She has been teaching Qigong since 2010 and is certified in both medical qigong therapy and as a qigong teacher by Suzanne Friedman, L.Ac., DMQ (China). Her mission is to support you in your health goals by sharing simple, easy to learn and powerful techniques for self-healing. Her goal is to create a qigong community in San Francisco that fosters vitality, health and tranquility in our everyday lives. Please bring cash or check. If you are limited income or a student, please contact me for sliding scale options. No one turned away for lack of funds. Payment is due before each class begins. Wear comfortable, flowing clothing with layers as it might start off chilly and warm up as we get moving. Also, no outside shoes are allowed in the meditation room. Meditation cushions, chairs and yoga mats are provided. What we're about

This group meets weekly to practice Mindful Movement Qigong (“chee-gong”), a gentle form of exercise using the body, breath and mental focus for self-healing. Based in Chinese medicine theory, Qigong consists of gentle movements that facilitate the cultivation and balance of qi in the body, mind and spirit. It can help relieve pain, increase energy, boost immunity and improve mood. Each class will consist of guided meditation, qigong movements and exercises for self-healing, and a brief discussion on a topic related to your health and vitality. Both drop-in and series classes will be offered on a regular basis.
