Buddhist Meditation Center New Jersey organizes meditation classes and courses based on the discourses and earliest teachings of the Buddha. Our resident monks guide the group based on the authentic teachings of historical Buddhism. The instructions given include meditation for beginners as well as meditation for advanced practitioners. All instructions are free of charge.

It is our mission to spread the Buddha's teachings on generosity, morality, and meditation and to improve the happiness of our members through cultivating friendship, compassion, and wisdom. The services of this organization are open to any member of the public interested in learning and practising the Buddha's teachings.

Please feel welcome and "at home" in the center as it is a place for all of those seeking a quiet place to develop their mind and find peace. This meditation program will focus on University, College, and high school students. It is a great way to increase your mental health. This meditation class will teach you how to be patient and calm, even during the difficult situations, you may face in your life. By using techniques originally taught by the Buddha, you will learn how to overcome stress, depression, and anxiety through meditation. It can also increase the efficiency of your brain and you can complete many tasks in a very short period of time by developing mindfulness.

The class will be taught by a monk trained in Theravada Buddhist tradition. All types of meditation, which are helpful to success your studies, will be taught in this class. The materials will be given for all the mediations that are practiced in the class. Later on, you can download the guided mediation booklets from the website. In this class, you will be trained to practice meditation independently. By participating every week in this class, you will get the maximum benefits for your life.

On request, there is an opportunity to meet a monk one on one to get counseling and get the advice to resolve your personal difficulties.
