What we're about

Our group is pretty simple - we like to run and have fun!

We meet every Wednesday, at 7:00pm, at a different bar in Portland (typically in Southeast or Northeast), go for a run, and then meet back at the bar to hang out! On occasion you can also find us running local races together or organizing weekend running events.

If you’re looking to meet new people, explore the city, and get a good run in, we’re the group for you!

All running paces and all ages (21+) are welcome! The emphasis is on making it back to the bar! Both competitive marathon runners and those just getting started can find someone to run with. Our runs are typically around 4 miles (though runners are welcome to take shortcuts as needed).

Whether you're new to the city or just want to meet some new people, these Wednesday runs are a great way to unplug!

A map of this week's course will be posted soon. In the meantime, here are our FAQs:

Where do I find the group?
We typically meet up right outside the bar! We rotate through a variety of bars and breweries. Check out our past events to see what places we typically go to.

What is the average pace of the group?
There is a wide range of paces that varies week-to-week, but typically most people are between 7:30 - 10 minute miles. We welcome all runners, regardless of pace (the #1 goal our group is to make new friends, not break records), but we advise making sure you are comfortable with the route if you are worried you might be slower than this range, just so you don’t get lost.

What time does the group actually start running?
We suggest runners arrive around 6:55pm, but we do not actually start running until 7:05pm.

When is the route posted?
The route is posted typically Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

I don’t have a car, what do I do with my belongings while I’m running?
One option is to wear a running belt to keep keys, ID, credit card, etc. on you while you run, but if you show up a little early, you can often find someone who is willing to put your jacket or other belongings in their car for you during the run.

What should I bring?
Make sure to bring your ID and credit card/cash for the bar. Additionally, in the winter, we recommend bringing a light to run with and wearing something reflective. Lastly, we are sometimes outside for drinks, depending on the location, so it’s a good idea to bring a jacket.
