What we're about

The Barton Creek Crew is the official Meetup of the Save Barton Creek Association (SBCA). We protect the creeks and aquifer of the Barton Springs- Edwards Aquifer through conservation, education, and advocacy.

You can learn more about SBCA on our website at www.savebartoncreek.org. You can further connect by signing up for our monthly e-newsletter (http://www.savebartoncreek.org/stay-in-touch/) and liking us on facebook. (https://www.facebook.com/savebartoncreek/?fref=ts)

We will meet once or twice a month for hikes along the Greenbelt, volunteer opportunities, and educational outings. We also host Creek Crew Happy Hours the second Monday of each month. These Happy Hours feature a speaker related to our mission.

We also hope you will join SBCA by contributing to dialogue on our discussion boards.

We look forward to meeting you, whether you're new to Austin or are a life-long Barton Creek enthusiast.

Happy Hour! Book Reading & Signing with Ed Crowell, author of Barton Creek

Barton Creek by Ed Crowell "explores the creek's contentious political history, its historic and current residents, and the mounting environmental pressures threatening it. Barton Creek highlights the passionate individuals involved in the stream's preservation, from city scientists to local landowners, who want to see the creek running clear and clean for future generations."
