Making Sense Of Complexity With Cynefin, On Thursday

Details
As a leader, how can you analyze a new situation, make sense of it, and be confident in your response? Cynefin (a Welsh word, pronounced “kuh-nev-in”) is a sense-making framework that enables you to understand each new challenge as it arises. It was originally developed by David Snowden from work at IBM in knowledge management, and has grown into one of the most important tools for leadership there is.
Andrew Webster is freshly back from a week in Wales at the Cynefin Retreat and Train-The-Trainer event. He will introduce you to the 20% of Cynefin that will help you with 80% of your work. You’ll get new ideas on how to view your work, and your relationship to other’s work. You will gain new ways to think about situations that would previously have you baffled. And Andrew promises that it will be enormous fun!
Andrew Webster is a Certified Scrum Professional and agile coach who has worked internationally helping software organizations succeed since 1998. His focus is aligning the way people work with the way work works, so that it no longer feels like work. In previous lives, Andrew has worked backstage in theatre, taught painting and decorating, sold terracotta tiles, and delivered newspapers on a bicycle, in the rain, uphill both ways.
