A 12-Step support group meeting for those struggling with religious beliefs, the idea of a god, or of a higher power someplace "out there" expressed in most AA meetings. Our goal is to recover a healthy, non-theistic understanding of the 12-Step process, enabling the individual to find the power for change within himself or herself.

  • Live Event - Hub Members Movie Night

    Secular Hub

Secular Hub members are invited to hang out and watch a movie on our BIG screen at the Secular Hub on Thursday nights! Drinks, snacks, and popcorn will be available for sale. Doors will be open at 6:40pm and the movie will begin at 7:00pm.

This is a recurring weekly event, subject to other secular events that require the Secular Hub space. Movie selections are listed on the "Movie Night" blog on the Secular Hub Online website.

We'll make sure to notify when movie nights are cancelled.

Note: Secular Hub meetings such as movie night are open only to dues paying members of the Secular Hub. Sign up on line at http://www.secularhub.org/membership-2/ or in person at the Hub.

  • Hub Live Music Night with Open Mic Sign-Up or Join the Band

    Secular Hub

"The Hub is a rockin', don't bother knockin'."

Hub Live Music Night, Every First Friday!

Paul and Ben, aka The Fistons, will lead the way, so join the band. Typically, we have a large band with singers and it sounds awesome.

Paul plays guitar, sings and keeps the beat with drums pedals, Ben plays bass and keeps the foundation going.

If you sing, play guitar, play keys or play any other treble instruments, please join us!

You can also just hang out and listen. Socialize while listening to live music. Play board games or relax with a beverage. Bring food and beverages to share if you like (beer and wine are OK!).

    For Drummers:
We now have a basic vDrum (electronic kit) on-site, available to you! It will already be set up. Just bring a throne and sticks. We provide a vDrum monitor for you, but please feel free to bring your own as well.

We have simple and accessible songs for you to join in on, like Creep, With or Without You, The Thrill is Gone, Fire on the Mountain, simple jams etc. Some form of sheet music is provided as well. Also feel free to bring sheet music to share if you want the group to play your songs.

Let's all play via the beefy P.A. system if we can. Having separate amplifiers have been a real challenge for setting up a proper sound volume for everybody.

This is a free BYOB&S (bring your own beverages and snacks to share) event. Coffee provided. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and music from 7-10:00 p.m. Hope to see you there!

  • Let's Hike! Paint Mines Interpretive Park

    29950 Paint Mine Rd

    https://dayhikesneardenver.com/paint-mines-hike-near-colorado-springs/

"The Paint Mines, dominated by clays deposited more than 55 million years ago, and the surrounding acreage have yielded evidence of human life dating as far back as 9,000 years. American Indian tribes used this land as a favorite hunting ground where badland breaks and gullies may have served as hunting overlooks and entrapment locations."

"The colorful clays were used by American Indians for making pottery and ceremonial paint, and in the early 1900s, the clay was mined to make bricks. During the 1880s, settlers began to homestead this land. Grazing and agricultural use by long-time residents, the Freeman family and others, played an important role in the history of the Paint Mines."

    Online event

Are you concerned about religion creeping farther into politics? Do you want to help make sure that Colorado does not pass some of the religiously motivated legislation that other states have passed such as laws curtailing reproductive freedom, anti LGBTQ laws, and giving religious groups more special privileges and exemptions?
