Fort Washington Park along the Hudson from Dyckman St. to 145th St.
About 3 miles and 3 hours We’ll meet on the northwest corner of Broadway and Dyckman Street, near the A train Dyckman Street station. We’ll walk west to the the beginning of Fort Washington park and walk south on the walk/bike path through the narrow park overlooking the Hudson with several stops, including Inspiration Point (collonade) around 187th Street and the “Little Red Lighthouse” just south of the George Washington Bridge. We end up at the state park/pier at 145th Street, where there is a Latino restaurant (Sofrito’s), and from there a short walk back to the No. 1 train. Bring water, snacks. If there’s a light drizzle, I’ll still proceed–will cancel only if there’s a downpour or snowstorm.
